Here's all I've got to say:

1. I originally bought the game because it promised good mod support - they turned their backs on that promise.

2. Brendan Greene, Lead Dev, claims that all custom servers will require a fee to run, stating that it's how he had to run his mods back in his Arma 3 days - Let alone that this game doesn't even allow real mod support, Arma 3 lets you run servers on your own hardware, you only paid to rent other people's servers. PUBG gives no choice but to rent a server.

3. A heftily priced game which offers essentially one real mode - Yet has the audacity to charge for cosmetics, have made free means of gaining cosmetics absolutely insignificant, and now also charges for a sort of Season Pass which is blatantly derivative off that of Fortnite's; yet offers SIGNIFICANTLY less. Furthermore, Fortnite has a free version of their BattlePass which offers nearly as much as PUBG's. How bout that?

4. Game still runs like ass.

5. To continue from point 3: The publishers have the audacity to attempt to sue other games for "copying" the Battle Royale mode, even though Game Modes should never be liable to copyright - Yet this, PUBG mimics so many of the other Royale modes: As mentioned, with Fortnite's Battle Pass, Emotes, the new spotting functionality, etc.

6. And to continue from Point 5, the developers and publisher have so much audacity, as if it forgets that the game is virtually asset flip one. It doesn't hide the fact that many of its 3D models were bought from the Unreal Engine store - It makes you wonder how much more of the game was outsourced.

7. The devs like to parade around how many hackers they've banned and the effort they put into keeping the game hacker-clean, yet it's mortifying how much this game is STILL plagued by hacking. Fanboys will parrot how "it's not that frequent", Hackers being noticeable in the first place is insufferable; I've yet to encounter a hacker in Fortnite and so many other shooters I used to play. But most importantly, you will have your game ruined by some hacker every 6 games. You can still argue that "it's not a lot" relatively, but it still ruins your day with the game.

8. The game is infested with bugs like the pantry of a run-down restaurant in Eastern Belarus. Seriously, more often than not the game handicaps you being of some bug.

People that defend this game religiously will claim I'm so Fortnite fanboy like I've seen so many times before - I've played my far share of Fortnite, I have about 40 hours in it compared to my 270h here; and I have to say, I used to prefer PUBG. I found it a lot more enjoyable. But, whilst I play neither now, I can only say Fortnite is an objectively better game and it does it for free. You know what, look beyond Fortnite, go to Realms Royale, go to the Darwin Project, Go to The Culling, even go to Ring Of Elysium! Because those games have polish and real originality that PUBG severely lacks. Not only is PUBG an absolute trainwreck, it's one that is commandeered by developers that give absolutely no ♥♥♥♥ about the player experience or ethics.

THE GAME IS VERY BUGGY WITH LOTS OF CLEAR ISSUES, AS IS EXPECTED WITH EARLY ACCESS TITLES

Blurry UI elements, low quality sounds, unusable M+KB controls, buggy menu controls, and some much needed balancing here and there.

I played with an x52 and enjoy the few minutes I played, though I intend on not playing that much and focusing on providing feedback (saving the game for when it's more complete), I can easily say that it's a very promising title that I'm enjoying as of now and that's why I'm giving it a recommended title. Fantastic art design, fantastic ship design, fantastic sounds, fantastic gameplay element design, and best of all: A lot of potential and room for improvement on what's already pretty decent.

If you're expecting a full on, complete and polished experience: I advise you to stay away and you should know better than to expect full experiences from an early access game. If you've enjoy dogfighting in Elite, Star Citizen, or other titles and just want an emphasis on that **BUT** very clearly understand that the title is not polished at all as of now and know what you could be getting into, this game shows that it excecutes a lot of things well with a clearly passionate and clever studio behind the wheel, if you want to buy the game just to support the devs, idea, and the space sim genre as a whole, then this title is definitely one that warrants your money, just remind yourself that you're OBJECTIVELY better off waiting and there's still some much needed polish.

PROs:

Great visuals

Perfectly fitting music

Incredible animations

Fantastic gore mechanics

Perfect gun feel and handline

Hours of endless fun

Somewhat fun to play solo

Extremely fun to play with friends and other players, good teamplay

Great map design

Core mechanics are all big improvements over last iteration

Very stable and very few bugs

CONS (as of now):

Limited maps

Limited weapons

Limited classes

Though the developers are promising more variety than would have been more than sufficient for the community, so big hopes. If you're hesitent, I recommend waiting for more updates to come out, but the core mechanics are some of the most refined in any game i've seen.

And my biggest issues with the game though ? I can't seem to stop playing it.

I'm a bit confused as to whether I should recommend it or not, but I thoroughly enjoyed it a lot so I set the review as recommended, but here's my thoughts:

Hotline Miami 2 improves from the original game in many aspects, notably the art direction along with the music; by using a new, gorgeous soundtrack that perfectly fits the psychotic, drug fuelled violence that makes up the basis of the game and gorgeous pixel art graphics and colours that are actually superior to the first one's especially in animation quality. When the game has its highs, it is ridiculously fun, and you will yourself panting at times from the excitement a level has given you, where you then find yourself still recovering from the adreneline, when you are directed to the score window at the end of the level, it provides a great transition before the next one, but you're still left craving for more of that ultraviolence, whilst you reflect on what did which looked ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ awesome.

But, it falls flat in the aspect that some of the levels, if not the majority, fail to caputre the magic that the first game had presented: Quick, reflex based action where every split second counts, and had entire rooms with pools of blood in mere moments, with the body count continously adding up quickly until every russian in the build had his skull split in half. In Hotline Miami 2, some of the levels have taken a design direction where they are more open, enemies are more spread apart and the worse part of this game: Enemies actually see further than you do (if you do not use freelook), this ends up with the player better resorting to using hiding around the corner tactics and taking things slow, or memorising the level as opposed to depending on your reflexes. This completely removes the fun that the quick bloodthirsty action of the original game had offered. In some cases, the levels will also have melee resistent enemies, which just gives the player another excuse to resort to hide only tactics, and prevents the player from dealing with levels quickly through melee and simply stick to ''sniping''

On top of that, the controls seem to have gotten worse, the mouse aiming is incredibly clunky and 80% of the time my character either fails to pick up a weapon when prompted to do so or picks up the weapon furthest from him as opposed to the one he is standing up. The controls can easily be fixed and I hope to see a patch in the future, which could also apply to enemy line of sight. Unfortunately, as for the levels that suffer from poor design, the only thing that could make up for it is if Dennaton Games released a level editor, because they seem to have forgotten what made the levels in the first game so great, so the design may be better off left to the fans.

It's still Hotline Miami: Psychotic, mindless killing to a fitting and great soundtrack, complimented by beautiful colours in a pixel graphics format, but Dennaton seems to have forgotten what made the audience of the first game enjoy hurting people so damn much.

I'm going to keep this as short as possible:

It's fun, it's just so much fun and the addictiveness just keeps you coming back and having more fun. Everything that was done right in the first BoI is done so much better here. This genre of pixel art is absolutely lovely looking and perfectly matches the game. People criticized the soundtrack and sound effects but I absolutely love them. In terms of content, it's much bigger, it's not an entirely different set of content but it does absolutely add up to what was originally in the original BoI, and how some of these items and effects can merge together to create much more spectacular effects is just great. I really do wish I could keep going on in this review but at the moment I really need to go back to playing some more.

9/10

I'm just going to keep this short because people tend to prefer it like that.

I'm not really sure where to start, but I'm just going to say that this addition to the Civ franchise is good, it's fun, it's certainly not bad. Is it a massive leap from the previous title ? No. Does it try to do things differently ? Yes. It feels like civilization, plays like civilization and if you're familiar with it, you will indeed feel comfortable, but it does play differently in different ways, but it's more like a overhaul of numerous features rather than an entire change of the base game.

It's important to note that this is much better than Civ V at launch, Civ V had a pretty bumpy launch and it greatly hurt it, but later on it really good incredibly improved by the expansions. In full honesty, if you haven't tried Civilization and want to give it a go, I'd suggest going for the complete edition of Civ V (Don't go for Vanilla though), if you LOVED Civ V but want to have something new and varied, but still keep what made you like Civ V, CivBE is a good purchase, and especially if you're into the sci-fi and a new home for humanity setting like I am. If you're unsure and want a more varied, greater product like Civ V complete and what that cool theme and sci-fi art direction, wait for expansions, I'm sure they'll guarantee the improvement of this game, but it's important to note that expansions WILL be expensive.

So far though, I'm absolutely loving the game, I fell in love with Civ V but started to move away from it and wanted something fresh, in BE I've very much enjoyed what i've played so far (keeping in mind I haven't played for that long yet and the enjoyability from Civ comes from end game), I think Fireaxis has done many things right and has well thought through what they're going to do with each mechanic and feature. I have no regret buying this product and I'll be looking forward to the hundreds of hours sunken into it as I have with the previous title while I should actually be studying, but c'mon, it's only just one more turn.
