I'm not gonna judge it for the bugs, since it is early access, and I'm not gonna compare it to the previous games, because I haven't played those.

What I am gonna judge it on is its lack of.. anything.

There's just not much to the game itself. The skate mechanics themselves are fine, but the world is boring and sterile, graphics are way too cartoony, and there's just not a whole lot to do other than grind for points so you can get boxes in the hope that you get some stuff that doesn't suck.

Though you can obviously just buy the cool stuff, since it's basically just a storefront that they've built a game around.

This game is going to need more stuff to do if EA wants people to keep playing (and spending) because I can't imagine player retention lasting in the long term, and since it's online only, chances are servers aren't going to be up for very long once the initial hype dies down.

Or maybe I just don't have my "skater eyes".
Seriously, who came up with the dialogue in this thing?


Editing to add that they've apparently fixed a bunch of bugs.
Not any of the actual important ones though. And they also added a whole bunch of new ones and somehow made the game more sluggish.

Also, more Vee. Cause that's what everyone wanted, am I right?

But hey, season pass, more cosmetics, and a third currency added.
And all that stuff works flawlessly! Woohoo!

Yeah, this game is dead.
