Into the game a few hours now, personally I haven't found the performance to be that bad... Granted I've set my expectations low.

Running the game at 1440p with scaling set to 75%, so effectively 1080p using the FSR 1.0 setting, and AA set to TAA. Max settings otherwise giving 40-60 FPS on a i7-13700k with 32GB RAM and a 7800XT. In my mind this is perfectly playable.

It could absolutely be better, and probably could have done with more optimisation before release, in many ways the game is otherwise a massive upgrade over CS1 and in my mind worth the purchase.
