Upd.: The most horrendous game-locking errors were fixed (at least for me) and I'm enjoying the game more or less, so changing it to thumbs up. Have to mention though DLC doesn't have that much new stuff and what it has - doesn't change things that much. So just consider it a minor DLC and you won't get disappointed. Buy for viking vibes, but when naval battles gets too repetitive (approach-R-F3) be ready to auto-battle through it (same as we do through all the hideouts now)

Can't recommend it as it is. Too buggy.
Was just locked out of my playthrough because all Towns became non-interactible objects. What a waste of time..

Main menu screen is a 5 FPS slideshow. Others experience crashes. Ship models are going underwater. Their anchor icon disappears every now and then.
It's unthinkable testers just missed it all. They were aware and released it in this state anyway..

I hope developers are good enough with math to be able to count to at least 100, because I want to say: "we have around 100 keys at our keyboards - utilize them".
Yes, visuals might give you an idea the target audience will be playing on mobile or on the smart fridges, but here, in PC games store, most of us are PC gamers. We need those shortcuts for everything. We're not limited by gamepads as console players. Every action, every single little menu choice should be available directly from keyboard. If something needs more than three button taps - probably you designed it in a wrong way. Fix it while you have time.
Other than that - demo is good, will buy the full game (unless you introduce DRM or side launchers - then buy your game yourselves, we'll pass).

It's THAT Stalker. Definitely. Gonna play it some more, have a lot of fun while doing it and recommend it to others.

But boy, it is broken in so many ways..

Those pissing me off the most are:
-enemies spawning on top of you. Lame, no point in clearing areas
-bloodsuckers and poltrgeizts made into freaking tanky minibosses. Not fun or dangerous but tedious, boring and repetitive.
-enemies ignoring LOS and shooting at you through night, rain and grass. Now (instead of having a proper play) just look for a counter-broken things, like abuse their pathfinding and save/load. Not good

P.S. Imagine how awesome GAMMA2 will be!

Well, let's start with a good thing - 1v1 is working pretty well, is interesting to play (even tho I suck at it, same as at any other RTS) and has a great potential. That's the reason I give thumbs up here. Hopefully some day we'll have SG as main cybersport RTS discipline.

Coop is meh, gets stale pretty fast but let's give it some time to develop.

And now for the reason steam rating of Stormgate is "mixed" - Campaign. It's horrible. It's ♥♥♥♥♥ from under a dead horse. It was such a mistake to release it like this at all, I hope at least it will help them hear the community feedback and fix it.
And here is my feedback. Let's not focus too much on the visual part because they explained it, promised to fix what's possible but most likely won't back down from this ♥♥♥♥♥♥ Fortnite-like cheap cartoonish style anyway, so let's just ignore it for now.
What is more important and more grim is the fact management and their decisions regarding monetization plowed the storytelling front, back and sideways. We will not be getting an epic story campaign. Nothing like SC2 is on the horizon. Instead we will be milked 10$ per 3-mission packs. And what kind of epic story can you fit into such a format? None. If they would make a congruent large story and serve it on such a piece-meal basis it would be just a foul play against our wallets, dirty trick. But at least there would be a campaign to talk about. But reality is even worse than that.
Because devs envision campaign future as burping out "short stories focused on different heroes". You get it? Every pack is a separate thing just vaguely tied with the rest of the global plot. Barely 3 hours of dubious fun for 10$. Sounds like a Tiktok from a world of gaming to me. Marvellisation, targeting kids with an attention span of a guppie.
And you can observe those effects in play already. Ofc you don't see any charismatic characters or interesting plot twists - you just can't fit those into 3 missions. Good thing needs time to brew. But here we have some bland characterless noones (spoiler alert, hehe) who already is trying to defend the same Strahnbrad village and looking for the same Frostmourne again, but in space this time.

Well, no thanks. As more or less casual gamer I was interested in campaign the most, and from what I understand devs are expecting to monetize the development through selling the campaign but it just won't cut it. I'm not ready to spare a single penny for such a product and even less so - coughing up 10$ for another piece of nothing.
But consider this instead - you make current rag of a campaign into a demo, hide it into some Legacy tab, scrap the whole idea of fragmented space soap opera and make us a Grand Campaign. Or even 3 of them - one for each race. With choices that matter, leveling, may be a tactical map and lots of content, plot twists and character development..
And we, gamers, send you 20$ for each campaign. Fair price. 60$ in total, real AAA scale. Whaddaya say?

I dislike cartoonish styled games but I'm glad I didn't pass on this one. It can be really punishing at times. The return of uncompromising surviving to Survival genre. I still remember my first attempt to play Wolfgang as inexperienced DS player. Oh boy I was Starving and clinging for life so hard, didn't need any outside threats to just wither at some point. 9/10

At launch everything is as horrible as you might expect. Looking for a match for 10 minutes now even tho I'd agree to play with bots but you're always online even for single player experience. Or should I say - lack of any experience outside waiting..
Also turns out there's no voice chat

Upd.: After a few days they successfully replaced disconnects and login errors to crash-to-desktop's.
