EDIT : After the most recent patch, they have managed to fix what caused my PC to shut down after playing this game for maximum 15 minutes at a time (managed to test the game for about 2 hours total before I stopped). Now I've just put in 3 hours. I'll keep the negative review because although whatever caused the performance issue is fixed, I've contacted Obsidian many times here on Steam and on their own forum where I created an account for nothing because they never bothered to answer me ONCE, not even to acknowledge that my issue would be looked into.

I cannot recommend this game right now. Whenever I try to play, it shuts down my PC. There's unnecessary surge in power that other much bigger and demanding games do not cause, such as GTA5, Cyberpunk 2077, Spider-Man Remastered, etc. I tried to contact support here on Steam and on their forum, and for months no one cared to answer or acknowledge the issue.

This game does NOT have controller support and you will have to do a lot of troubleshooting to fix it yourself. I do not recommend playing this game through Steam, rather you should play it through DuckStation.

Well, that was a disappointment. They just can't seem to be able or be bothered to do something as good as Wildlands. I think I will ask for a refund.

One of my all time favourite game!

A pretty darn good game. Of course, there's couple of things that could have made it better, like adding RPGs to the game, tanks, more customisation for the characters (Tom Clancy's games always lack diversity in customisation), but overall it is VERY good. If you want a good idea of what this game is, imagine Mercenary, Army of Two and Grand Theft Auto had a baby together. It would be Ghost Recon : Wildlands. Still a different game than all of these three, yet got a little or big something from them all.

I recommend it.

I couldn't buy the game on its release day, thank God. All my memories of this game are basically bug free, so they are good memories of a lot of hours of fun. Still today, it holds with the standards of more recent games. I do recommend it if you love the Roman era.

This game is just incomprehensible. It's impossible to understand the mathematics behind the mechanics of this game. You can't even find a tutorial to explain it to you either. I tried to like this game, but it's just unplayable.

I've played this game since the first day it came out. Still the best AoE game I ever played. I still recommend it today and I hope one day the AoE team will grace their supporters with another mythical/fantastical entry, maybe this time with LoTR or Warhammer.

Don't. Just don't. Keep your hard earned money for a company that cares about its customers.
