It is very much the epitome of dumb fun, dumb luck and tragedies of epic proportions.

The game is an absolutely fantastic mixture of blood pumping action and megamind level of min-maxing skills and synergies with a dash of gambling where you might find out very quickly you rolled the dice one too many times. It took me fourteen hours to finally pass the easy mode and I can safely say that those hours were very engaging and fun. The visuals are gorgeous to look at whatever visual mode you choose and really get to wade knee deep in blood.

Only minuses are related to minor hiccups in level generation where traps are sometimes in quite weird places. I would also like to see further refinement of the bonus levels as the level generation issues are compounded there.

All in all, I heavily recommend trying this game out. It is a must try indie gem for fans of hack and slash.

Absolutely enthralled. It perfectly captures and supercharges the aesthetic of 90’s depression in Finland. I started playing this on the evening and my first playsession ended at 4:30AM. Weird, quirky and best of all; surprisingly stable. I didn’t encounter any issues during my first foray. Keep up the excellent work and best of luck to the developers.

It is an ambitious pitch that nails the ambiance 100%. Basic game play loop is tense and exciting with nasty unfair surprises. This I like. There were some technical issues in the version of the game I played (Before October patch 2024) , such as disappearing corpses of enemies that had loot on them, but those sorts of things are minor gripes in the grand scheme of things. It is an initial release of an Early Access title and what matters is how the development process pans out. All the best to the developers.

Good natured and fast paced arcade fun. Had some good laughs and aggravated feelings running with a buddy.

A great and stylistic execution of an evolution of the X-Files concept. Visually pleasing, textually funny. Game play is solid and the "metroidvania" elements have a surprising amount of exploration required. Highly recommended.

Definitely one of my favorite games of the last decade. Great story that opens up slowly and has more than a few twists and turns that also have a definite effect on gameplay. There is great inventiveness even in things like camera usage. The soundtrack is one of my personal GOATs and manages to convey the depths of drama to be unfolded poignantly.

The definitive Half Life campaign experience for everyone else but the speedrunners. Black Mesa is a great setting and the game manages to elevate the sense of place above and beyond. You always feel like there is much, much more to the complex than what you are seeing and the eye for detail on the micro level is also excellent. The remade Xen is loads better than the original. Negatives are mostly minor gripes about the length and repetition during some sequences and that is the extent of it.

There really isn't anything that I could add this point over other, better written reviews, but I liked the game very much. It was good tense fun on initial Hard playthrough and the game was aesthetically coherent all the way through. Excellent.

An excellent sequel for a game series I thought long dead. New features make customization more in-depth, while retaining both the hard action I craved for and a world where you are just a faceless pawn. Highly recommended.
