Gotta agree with reviews here. Its an amazing game but it suffers optimisation issues, especially to my close friends that I play with. Still, give the game a try if you like the series. If you try to use the benchmark demo for this game its pretty unreliable with its "scoring" so don't count on it.
This review is bound to change if they implement more content and performance fixes.

It has its ups, it has its downs... Might not be for everyone but if space exploration with infinite generating planets, creatures and flora, its own economy and space combat interest you, give it a try! Even with a rough start, the devs have shaped it up into something truly amazing instead of dipping and leaving it to dust!

Absolutely astonishing game! Would reccomend if you like big weapon arsenal, simple and fun gameplay, unique style of pixel art and challenging (yet fun!) boss fights and events! Played it as a kid for a long time and still playing to this day! So much love and effort has been put into this game!

EDIT: After so many years, this game is still getting love that it deserves so much. Props to you Relogic, your dedication has made so many people happy, thank you!

This game is awesome.

EDIT - 04/06/2024: Its a disgrace how Valve is treating this game, they should be ashamed...

EDIT 2 - 20/08/2025: Game is in a better state now, most if not all bot issues are gone
