It's an alright game - it tries to be like Dark Souls and does an OK job of that, but, the combat feels very clunky.

Biggest gripe with the game so far - an item obtained later on that is required to traverse areas is very frustrating to use. The aiming is very touchy and frustrating when you're trying to do something on the fly. This is when using a controller, not sure how KBM is regarding this.

If there are changes to the aiming system in the future I will give the game a try, but for now, I don't recommend it.

This game is probably the best Megaman style game I've played in awhile.

Pros:
- A large variety of items that influence each playthrough.
- Gameplay that is akin to previous Megaman/Zero games.
- Great soundtrack - very reminiscent of previous Megaman games.
- Difficulty scales well with each subsequent level.
- Once you beat the main game, there is a mode called "Defiant mode" which allows you to apply unique modifiers to the - upcoming playthrough.
- Despite being in early access, the game plays incredibly well. I've yet to experience a hiccup so far.
- Levels are all randomly generated, making each level feel like a different playthrough.


Cons:
- Music can get a bit repetitive - it would be nice for some more variety.
- (I was thinking about what else I disliked about the game, but this is all that I could think of.)

If you love the Roguelike genre, as well as the old Megaman games, I would definitely pick this up. Even though it's in early access, the game feels very polished. It's a modern day blast from the past.
