It’s a really fun shmup. Controls are tight. There’s a nice variety of enemies and weapons. I just love claymation here and the amount of detail (enemies destruction process, debris that falls into the water has splashes, the backgrounds!). Music is a bit hit or miss but overall fits the game. The only “issue” that comes to my mind is that on some levels enemies can blend a bit with a background making them harder to spot but nothing truly annoying. The Game works great both on PC and Steam Deck

I finished the story and now I’m having fun unlocking achievements and beating my highscores. I really recommend this one as it feels like games I played 30 years ago but upgraded to modern standards.

Great sequel that does things differently to feel fresh yet familiar enough to stay true to the predecessor. That being said some elements are not as good as in first installment.

There's way more content and everything feels smoother than in the Hades but it also feels a bit watered down. Enemies are less memorable. Weapons and boons work better together but also feel a bit samey to use. NPCs interactions are a mixed bag with some very memorable ones and some really meh ones. Probably the worst thing is the story that doesn’t really work for all the dying and repeating runs after the end as it did in the first game.

Don’t get me wrong it’s not a bad game as I wouldn't put almost 120h in it. There are things done better but as a whole package it’s not as good as Hades. If I had to give both games a score, the first one would get 9,5 and the second one 9.

Good to know (no spoilers):
- Game is a bit easier than the first one.
- There’s a lot of resources and it’s tedious to collect some so don’t sell the surplus as it will come in handy.
- If you plan to 100% the game visit NPC as often as possible and do the “epiloge” last as it unlocks a lot of new line for everyone slowing down quests' progress.

Had a ton of fun. Twice. If you like rogue-likes you should play it. And if you don't like them you should still try it. This one, as a whole package, is just on a different level than the rest of the genre.

Clever, little game that expands on "Survivor" genre by making movement a key part of gameplay. When you drift you become invincible. You become the weapon. Beside that there are actual weapons that you can install in your car and all feel distinct but don’t expect they will drastically change the gameplay. Upgrades are mostly about raising numbers but in a meaningful way so it's fun to try to create a "broken build". Driving requires some learning but it’s satisfying as there’s nothing that stops you or slows you down. No story. Just you, your car and deadly shapes.
Visuals are similar to Ape Out - simple yet stylish. Music reminds me of some chace scenes from old school heist movies.
I would love to see leaderboards or at least personal highscore because right now it's just surviving waves.

Great experience! It’s a simple shepherd simulation. Nothing more, nothing less. It’s almost perfect in its simplicity as you focus on events not mechanics. If you can immerse yourself in a video game and care about fictional animals this will be a blast to play. Otherwise you’ll be disappointed because there’s no depth both in gameplay and story. It’s all about your herd and making sure it reaches the destination safe and sound.
Controls are simple but controlling the herd requires getting used to. Managing the creatures is minimal. Levels have alternative paths but overall experience is linear. The camera can sometimes work a bit against your intentions.
Visually the game is stunning but not because of it’s super duper technical fidelity but art direction. Music and sounds perfectly fit the mood and enhance the experience. I just wish that creatures had more unique sounds.

I highly recommend this one!

It’s not bad, just nothing really stands out. Demo was all about combat but there was nothing interesting in it. No fancy combo system, standard parry mechanics, generic enemies. Nothing that would make me say “oh, that’s interesting” or "that feels really goood". In a way it felt a bit off but I’m not sure if it's because you can go through enemies or something else.
Visually it’s nice but low quality character animations make it look better on screens than in motion. The story is another “find the dude because plague” thing and did not hook me up. Controls are tight. No complaints about performance.
Give it a shot if you really like the visuals.

It was a fun and smooth experience. Handcrafted rooms were significantly better than random ones as the latter often just spam you with whatever biome has. There’s some variety in gear to create a build suited for your preferred playstyle but I’m not sure there’s a significant difference between weapons. You can freely swap things so there’s no commitment to a class or anything. You can be a “warrior” for the first half of the game and “mage” for the second half. Game has nice difficulty curve but you cannot get overpowered with some "broken build" so it’s more catching up with the game than getting ahead. There are optional challenges that will test your dexterity and they are really fun. Also each final dungeon has some dash related sections that were really creative and refreshed the gameplay a bit.
Not a fan of the graphics and music/sound but it’s rather personal preference than complaint.
Narrative is minimal but there’s not a bad idea for the main chain of events.
I think I would prefer it to be a bit shorter. That being said, I don't regret my time with it and I would gladly try the second part if it ever gets made.

Good to know (no spoilers):
- 10-11h to 100% the game, there are no missables.
- I recommend playing on normal. The game isn’t always fair and it becomes more challenging fast. Hard just double the damage and health of the enemies. No new patterns. You cannot change difficulty mid-game.
- Screen shake can be turned off

It's a single player looter-shooter but instead of guns you collect cute creatures that you evolve and upgrade. Under the hood there's a well executed 3rd person shooter. It play sooooo smoothly and feels like wearing perfectly fitting gloves. I just hope they will improve aming on game pad becasue that was the only "bad" thing. Oh and thank god it's not an open world. Wishlisted.

Gameplay wise it's really good. Main focus on range combat is something rarely seen in the genre and here they took full advantage of it by creating levels and challenges around it. I spent really good time with the demo. Big part of the enjoyment was due to enemy designs. Some of them are really advanced and fun to figth against. But there are no roses without thorns.There are some awkward things like weird wall jump or not being able to shoot up without an upgrade but I got used to it fast. Boss fight at the end was a bit annoying becasue in his final stage he was doing something that was counter-intuitive to his previous moves.
For me personally the art is the weakest part. It's not about the quality but art direction. It's a steampunk world but it just doesn't feel interesting to look at. Also not a fan of manga style characters. And why on Earth you want me to kill all those cute pokemons! Music was also a bit meh.
Despite some complaints I think it's one of the better games I've played on Next Fest and I'm adding it to my wishlist.

Pure art and superb wacky music (tu-to-tu-to-tu-toriale). Gameplay feels very oldschool with a modern twist of two asymetric characters. Levels are super short but if your second character, mutant Twomore (yep, you got it right), dies you need start from the beginning.
My only gripe is with the technical side. Even with locked fps there's slight screen tearing and there was some weird stuttering on some arenas and settings are nowhere to be found. I hope those issues will be ironed out as this really looks like day one material for me.
