Warning: There’s an elevator ride in level 2-3, if you’re prone to motion sickness, you will suffer.

There’s not a lot of content right now, but damn it looks good. Handling of the weapons feels so natural you’ll find yourself wanting to feel the weight. :D

It’s also very hard, you’ll most likely die before even seeing the boss at normal difficulty. I wish there was a checkpoint after the elevator in level 2-3.

Compared to Space Pirate Trainer, the angle at which enemies can appear/move to feels slightly lower. I find this to be more fun, because it’s very Serious and the shooting gallery looks more like a regular FPS level. However, there is less incentive to keep playing because equipment is reset every time you start a “campaign” and there’s no other type of persistent score.

Also, because the Vive is relatively low-res, it gets very hard to hit or even see enemies that are far(-ish) away.

The Steam controller is a fascinating idea. The "virtual trackball" mode generally feels great. I'm also quite satisfied with the build quality. I don't get why shiny surfaces were used, though.

However, there is one major issue: The touchpad concept. It detects where exactly your finger is pointing by looking at the whole area you touch. If you're just using the tip of your thumb, all is good. However, if, in the heat of the moment, you push down some more, the aim goes way off target. I can't possibly keep my thumb bent like required all the time. It's very straining.

I feel I can manipulate a regular gamepad's mini stick much more precisely. If need be, I could even grip the stick to be even more precise.

But then again, maybe I'm just holding it wrong. :D

There are some other issues like missing gamepad emulation on OS X. It would also be nice to have a fallback mode that works without having Steam running, to control HTPCs and whatnot.
