Im gonna be say, im having extreme fun doing a bit of music with those free loops that they give you with this.
And yes, it is true that you're gonna be extremely confused in the first 2 or 3 hours if you dont read the tutorials.
(like i did)
But once you get to know how to place loops and make your own track (Extra points if you make your own partition on an instrument), boy is it great!

(Quick reminder that English isn't my primary language but French is. so tell me if i did any mistakes in my sentences.)

Oh boy... im gonna tell you right away, i'v never been so happy to have a run (or game) full of items and just feel like a badass when playing Risk Of Rain. (In my life)

Alright, you want to know what's Risk Of Rain (AKA RoR)?
If you missed the description of the game, here it is.
" Risk of Rain is an action platformer with roguelike elements. With permanent death as a primary feature and over 100 items to collect to help you survive your foes."
(That's all you need to know)

That means that you're probably gonna die alot. anywait,
This game is very "Pixelish" but dosen't mean that its gonna look bad. in fact the scenary and graphic are beautiful really.
The soundtrack of this game is stunning, (IF you want, go listen to the soundtrack of the game on youtube, you'l like it.)

Upon checking the menu, you see:

-Fairly basic menu and options.
-Stats
-Monster Log
-Item Log
-Information and Backstory
-Unlocks and Challenges
-PLAY (Co-op or Solo)
(You know, a usual menu screen.)

When you'l click play, you'l notice that there is black characters that you can't choose
therefore, meaning you'l need to unlock them while playing.
There is also 3 difficulties to choose from (Drizzle, normal (can't remmeber the name of it) And Monsoon)
also, there's Artefacts. They are secrets that you'l unlock when
searching espacially for them. (These secrets can only appears in only one certain level and layout so be expecting some restarting)
Note: these artefacts will change some game mechanics when activated thru the menu character screen, once an artefact unlocked, they are unlocked forerver! :D

The gameplay is very great! i never had a problem with my controller and keyboard! and the controls are pettry simple making it very easy to learn but hard to master. the game revolve's around "Kitting" (meaning being able to shoot without getting hit)

-Controls are very good
-Different classes to unlock and choose from. All with special mechanics and abillities
-MONEY!
-you have 4 abilities for every classes
-items and chests
-many levels with many designs
-challengeing ennemies (and gameplay)
-Level up mechanic
-Ramdomly spawning ennemies
-Ramdom level with random layout
-Insane final boss
-Dying garanted
-Fun!

Note: I want to mention that the longer you play, the more the difficulty increases. (so stuck up on items while you can!)
these difficulty's escalates to
-very easy
-easy
-medium
-hard
-very hard
-insane
-impossible
-I SEE YOU
-I'M COMMING FOR YOU
-HAHAHAHAHA

You can play this game not only solo but IN CO-OP! isn't it awesome?!
You can play in local co-op or in Online Co-op.
and everybody gets to play there character, meaning that if you unlocked a character in your saves, you can choose this character in multiplayer! (Tho the other's who don't have that character can't choose it, :c )
And if you are host, you can put artefacts if you have any (of course)


Altough, every game comes with bugs, BUT! These bugs can be quite literally a game breaker if they are really occuring often. Lucky for me, i had no trouble with any bugs at all. (I must be playing the game too well)
(BTW if you get a glitch where you character falls thru the level non-stop, restart it, fortunetly it only happens on a begining of a run so no problems there.)

I'v also heard that the multiplayer is quite buggy, which i got to say is kinda true, i don't get TRUE LAG or anything like that but just some wierd glitches that did not affected my gameplay at all.
Setting-up a server can be confusing at first but with the help of tutorials and Hamachi maybe, its really simple.

Also don't worry about frequent update, they aren't that many update and to be straight, when there is an update, its like a gift to me. (and you guys should also take it as a gift :P)

Well, for the overall, i can give this game a 9/10
why not ten? well because of the bugs really, if other people can't properly play the game then its just sucks and makes unsatisfied users.
At first i was gonna put 8.5 but you know what? the soundtrack, gameplay and graphics are making it for it, and i can really see the hard work put on this game.

so good job dev's! even tho you release an update every month or so, we are very happy for your hard work, time and money spend on this unique game.

Edit: So i heard that they fixed the multiplayer, so i guess no more occuring crashes on multiplayer? great!

I remmeber playing the when i was playing the mod. IT a very good game, you should play it. :3
