if i was to hazard a guess, it's possibly because of the thumbnail (thumbnails seem to be a very large deciding factor when it comes to removing mods from the workshop, as some explicit mods without thumbnails have been up for literal years), though i would not consider your species resprites to have been anywhere close to "explicit nudity"

Steam said they contained "explicit nudity" and deleted some and temp banned me from workshop. So i hid the others to avoid further bans.
I tried to dispute it but support insisted it was "explicit nudity".
