There are a lot of differences between the times. I find that the process of how they use to choose the vice president interesting, and makes me wonder when that changed and if it were still around today how it would affect elections, if at all since most people don’t vote on the basis of the vice president, although 2020 might be an exception for some people to get the first female vice president in there. Washington is well commended on his efforts to keep the nation together, and it is well deserving of him to receive it as such. It’s crazy that so many presidents followed the 2 term limit, Washington set about creating a standard that would far outlive him and continues to this day, although with exceptions of course. Luckily as you said after F.D.R there will be no more exceptions as of 1951 since it is written into law.
