Listen to your players, not to activists and journalists. Why the censorship?

Crimson Desert is one of those games that feels both incredibly promising and frustratingly unfinished at the same time.

The game is absolutely stunning. Vast, alive, and full of little details that make you want to just wander around and enjoy the scenery. The multiple playable characters idea works really well and brings nice variety to the gameplay. The characters look beautiful and feel really natural. You can clearly see how much love and effort the developers put into the game: the art direction, the atmosphere, the little things… it’s all there.

The combat system is absolutely amazing. It’s the first game where I actually wanted to learn combos and master feints.

The protagonist’s movements and animations feel incredibly immersive. The inertia, the weight… everything is spot on. Please don’t change this!

This world genuinely makes you want to stay in it. Discovering new hidden spots, listening to characters’ stories, finding new mini-games and so much more… it’s pure joy.

But.. it still needs more time in the oven.

The biggest issues right now are technical. DLSS + Ray Tracing is broken in many situations. Without a very strong GPU you’ll constantly run into shimmering foliage, blurry textures, weird pop-ins and other graphical glitches. Sad, but with Ray Reconstruction the game looks breathtaking.

The companion system is another weak spot. The idea is great for immersion, but right now companions feel unfinished. They either stand still waiting for you to get far away and then sprint to catch up, or they just teleport right in front of your face. They always need your help in the end of every battle.

Damiane's movements (same issue with the other companions) look super weird when she's following you as a companion, compared to her moveset when she's the playable/main character. It's a small thing, but it'd be awesome if you could fix the companion movement animations and maybe develop this mechanic further down the line - smoother following behavior, better speed syncing, maybe some extra idle animations or voice lines to make companions feel more alive and less robotic.

There are many more small rough edges like this. Honestly, if I were the devs, I’d focus on fixing what’s already there instead of listening to people who cry for yellow quest markers and hand-holding... and everything else.

At the end of the day, you have two choices:

You can be like me - buy the game, relax, explore this gorgeous world and enjoy the slow, beautiful journey…

Or you can be that hater who keeps complaining about it every day but still can’t stop thinking and talking about it.

I’m definitely in the first group.

And yes, this game didn’t bend the knee to the so called 'modern audience' demands, and I really respect that .

Waiting for patches though. Come on, Pearl Abyss, you’re so close.

Cool game! Can't wait to see the full version already.

P.S. Hope we'll be able to change outfits in this game - that would be great!

Unexpectedly very good game. Calm, meditative open world that genuinely helps you relax after a long day and slowly wander instead of rushing objective to objective. Beautiful Chinese setting, great atmosphere, and surprisingly charming character design.
Online feels optional: you can enjoy the story in solo, then jump into town hubs, play mini-games like the card game, chill with other players, and go back to your own adventure.

As I expected, in any game of this genre, there's always that moment when you suddenly go 'why the hack am I even queuing for another raid?' In Arc Raiders, that moment hits you really fast.

Especially when the devs can't figure out what the hell to do with the game. Like, add a proper karma system already - just slap it on profiles, let players pick a side and mark it with armbands on arms, for example? So you can instantly spot friend or foe. Nah, too hard, I guess.

For this genre, progression feels too basic, loot/crafting systems are overly simplistic, there's no real endgame goal, and wipes don't fix core issues. Quests don't serve their purpose. Still no idea what to spend account money on - maybe future (really cool) customization for faces, hair, makeup? Nah, too hard (2x). Environment is more frustrating than immersive in the end. PVP doesn't hook me - it's far from the best shooter out there.
After 200+ hours (unthinkable for many), even the third raid this week brings only stress. Meanwhile, the "genre pioneer" kept me hooked for way more without burnout.

That said, the game isn't entirely bad. There's stuff worth praising, and maybe in a couple years... there won't be much left to criticize. Possibly.

Imagine holding an iPhone in one hand and a cheap knock-off in the other. At first glance, they look the same - but there’s a catch. That’s exactly how Arena Breakout feels. The issue isn’t just that it blatantly copies an existing idea. The issue is that it copies it poorly. Key details are missing, animations are clunky, sound design is weak, and the interface is a complete mess. Everything about it screams “mobile game” in the worst way. Not worth your time, not worth the effort. I can’t recommend it.

The developers of this game clearly know how to craft a great shooter. (I guess)

Though later, after playing their next game named Arc, I completely changed my opinion on that statement.

Anyway The Finals - first person shooter. And it's fine.

This is apparent in the micro-details of gunplay, the feel of recoil, the quality of the sound, and more. Special praise goes to the excellent optimization on Unreal Engine 5 - the game’s retro-futuristic atmosphere looks stunning, all while maintaining high FPS. The Finals adopts the best modern mechanics from other games and brings in fresh ideas to the gameplay, pushing outdated shooters further into the background.

On the other hand, that didn’t save them from the problem — it’s still boring to play, and it’s definitely not the kind of game I’d want to return to after some time.

It’s supposed to be a tactical shooter, but honestly, it’s a not-so-great shooter and barely even tactical. Any game really shines when you notice the little details. Let me point out a few: where’s the fast walking? Where’s the ability to toss a grenade through a door? Where’s the option to pull the pin back into the grenade? Where’s the ability to throw a grenade with a weak lob? Where’s the simple ability to step over a 50 cm obstacle? And don’t even get me started on the complete lack of any parkour or the ability to climb through windows, hop over a bar counter, or stuff like that. And these are things that should’ve been in the game from day one.

At some point, this game just starts to annoy you with every single action—whether it’s bugs (and there are plenty of them) or the inability to shoot a smoke grenade through stair railings, or just the so-called “tactical” slow walking around your own base. It’s a nightmare. I’d give it maybe a 2 out of 10.

Almost made it. Five years later. Just a little bit more years to go. I believe.

The game is still great, with well-written and memorable characters, a solid story, and of course that classic genre vibe. Gotta give a special shoutout to the really awesome soundtrack. But sadly, all the huge potential ended up only in the devs’ memories and the fans’ dreams. The product was released way too early and it couldn’t help but leave a ton of questions unanswered. Feels like there’s a lack of RPG mechanics that should be obvious. The endings are especially disappointing, with symbolism often taking over common sense. Other than that, thanks to tons of mods and pretty beefy hardware, the game definitely delivers loads of fun and unforgettable moments with melancholic vibes.
