Due to a gmod bug you need to add -x before -noaddons so it becomes "-x -noaddons"

Light, I did exactly that (thanks for explaining it in an understandable way), but Hammer++ still loaded the addons folder, so I honestly don't know what to do now (or why nothing I've tried is working for that matter). Also give me a break: I have basically zero experience with using the command prompt.

1. Make a shortcut for Hammer++
2. In the Target field, append this to the end (separate with space):
-noaddons
3. Press OK

for example, you are mapping for hl2dm. you go to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Half-Life 2 Deathmatch\bin\x64", where hammer is located. At the top is a bar with 'Steam🔽 Steamapps🔽 common🔽, etc' text. you click on it, and type cmd, press enter. The cmd window should pop up. You type in 'hammerplusplus.exe -noaddons' and press enter.

By "cmd" you mean the Command Prompt, right? How exactly would I go about doing that though? (since I very rarely use the Command Prompt)

you go to the hammerplusplus folder in cmd, and run hammer++ with that suffix

You should be able to work around the issue by renaming your addons dir for the time being

I recently became aware of Hammer++ now loading stuff from Gmod's addons folder in its latest update, but I need it to not to since doing so crashes Hammer++ from too many models being loaded at once, yet I have no idea how to put the "-noaddons" command in place since if Hammer++ has something similar to Gmod's launch options menu I have no clue where it is. Could you please help me with this ficool? I'd greatly appreciate it.

there would be substantial drama in the community if it was malicious, and you can't really check that yourself unless you use some VM-based malware analysis tool as the project is closed-source
