This game is truly one of the best multiplayer FPS games out there. The variety this game offers is second to none, there's so much to enjoy from the many maps, game modes, items and play styles offered here. The character, charm, depth and polish is truly something to behold.

It's important to know that Valve no longer release major content updates in the form of new weapons, weapon balancing or Valve created content in general. I would argue though that the game is in a good state where the seasonal community created content is more than enough to keep me coming back.

Valve have also taken action against the bot issue that festered the game for many years. As long as this key issue is combated then I can easily recommend this game!

The blend of 2D character and 3D environment design is awesome! The level design is fun, challenging and interesting to revisit again and again. The soundtrack is awesome, with a variety of catchy tracks. The NG+ and Hard modes are both great additions to help test and hone your skills!

The story is strung together with a bunch of fetch quests, but the interactions and dialogue are so cheeky and fun that it doesn't even matter to me.

With all of that said, do NOT get this version of the game. There's an Ultimate Edition that includes all of the DLC and some extra goodies for only $10 more. The DLC by itself isn't that great for what you have to pay.

The best of the three DLCs. You play as Risky Boots with different weapons and abilities from Shantae, which you unlock as you progress in the game. She plays differently from Shantae and her weapons are also really fun to upgrade and use. Once you unlock everything it's incredibly fun to chain together your cannon jumps and hat glides to burst through the levels.

The real shame is that the pacing and exploration isn't as good as the main game. You only really need to explore each level twice, and since the level design largely stays unchanged; it's not as fulfilling as going through for the first time in the main game.

And even though she plays differently from Shantae, it only really starts to get going half way through the game, while the first half feels too similar to the original game.

There are some interesting things here, it definitely has the most amount of depth out of all the DLCs. But unless you haven't played the game for some time or are going for 100% of the achievements I can't recommend this one.

I feel mixed about this DLC. On the one hand, the characters you get to play as each have their own purpose and are fun to control. There are even some interesting platforming challenges where you switch between them in succession.

But on the other hand, the level design doesn't really play into their abilities in interesting ways until the game is just about over. Most of the challenge and content can't be credited toward this but rather the level design of the main game. There is a new section with completely original level design and it's great! I just wish they were able to do more of that since working on top of the original levels hardly ever works.

The only reason you'd want to get this DLC is if you're going for 100% of the achievements.

The additional modes don't really make for that fun of an experience. You'll play through the same stages and boss battles but with different abilities depending on which costume you use.

Out of all the outfits the Mighty Switch Force one is the best since it mixes up some of the levels with block switching platforming and puzzles. The other outfits give you abilities that enhance your movement, but not in ways that work with the level design.

The only reason you'd want to get this pack is if you want to get 100% of the achievements.

The only thing more exciting than playing this game with your friends is finding out what insane, spooky or intense thing will happen next.

Despite being a spin-off of the LittleBigPlanet series, this game shares a lot of the love and sensibilities of the originals. The level design, visuals, character interactions and story is on par for sure.

I will say that if you play alone or rush through to the end, you won't get to experience a decent portion of the game since a lot of it isn't required to get to the end. If you go for 100% you'll certainly get your money's worth.
