I managed to Finnish the final boss, and I thoroughly enjoyed this game

BG3 is the biggest game I had played in awhile and even though I spent alot of time going through it, I feel compelled to replay it, for the sake of seeing everything I missed. Maybe after a little while.

There were a few bugs here and there, nothing major but worth noting.

I would have enjoyed the ending sequence being a bit longer, I would have loved to travel back top the starting area. I understand why that isn't the direction the game took, but it still would have been nice. If my main critique is that it left me wanting more, that should say something.

I would recomend cuphead and the DLC for anyone who likes a challenging and good looking game that dosent have a ton on narritive depth.

Overall the concept of the game is what caries this game and is what drove me to finish it, however I wouldn't play through the story again, but I probably will go back and 100% it at some point.

The central story is extremely meandering with stiff characters, that don't have any motivations beyond affiliation to a specific team. Etzio is a decent PC, and his motivation is the only thing that caused me to get to the end of the story, but there are many moments when he becomes a background character in his story. They kinda forget about that central motivation until the "final boss fight" where its brought up again for like 2 seconds. anything with the Desmond plot is absolutely awful, and that goes with the last minute sci fi sequence at the end of the etzio plot. It really only serves as a distraction from the actual story of the game, and it also makes it so the only actual character is shoved into the bacground of the finally.

that being said the controls are fun once you get the hang of them, and that is the game play highlight. The assassination missions are vary hit or miss. other than that its vary boring, because you always have the option to just kill all the guards and do it that way. A few missions that focus on stealth really stand out as actual challenges that require a level of thought beyond going forward and hitting the counter attack button.

the levels are very well designed, and it always feels like a fun challenge to get from point a to point b, hence why I might go back and 100% the high points and feathers. Its always fun to find a way to climb a building. I also ended up finishing all of the assassin temples and Templar lairs. Some of the challenges felt like they got a bit copy and pasted near the end but there aren't enough of them for it to become super tedious.

Ark is a fun game with solid core mechanics and fundamentals, but it does have a biult in ballenceing problem when playing single player on vanilla stats.

If you are someone who would enjoy a survival game with a small group of friends or solo I encourage you to adjust your settings to turn up harvesting rates, turn up difficulty to max, and to turn down Dino spawn rates. This makes the game more fun to play when you are just starting out.

Overall my experience with the multi player system is limited but from what I know about the ark community it can be difficult for new players to start out.

Continuing to the content of the game the base game contains 3 maps (the island, Ragnarok, and the center) while there are three payed dlc maps that cost around 20 dollars each, the game is full of content without the dlc and the dlc maps are worth the 20 dollars (especially the aberration map) but I would recommend that you try to buy this game on a sale.

The core mechanics of tameing Dino’s and the general combat system is very rewarding if a little repetitive.

All of this comes together to make a niche game that will be fun for you if you enjoy a challenge and if you like survival games
