Masterpiece

Hades is the best game I have played this year.

Supergiant keeps producing gems with each new game they release and Hades might just be at the top of the pile. Every aspect of the game is brilliantly executed, from the fantastic art-style, to the brilliant soundtrack and gameplay that the game has to offer. All this, tied together by a phenomenal narrative experience that is as captivating as it is original.

I know Supergiant does not have a reputation for producing extra content for their games once they have been released; but I really hope that they will listen to the community and consider exploring new content for Hades after their well deserved break. The decision is nevertheless theirs to make and I can rest assured that we will be pleasantly surprised no matter what they choose to produce next.

Up until I played this game, The Witcher 3 was my favourite game. I'm happy to say that isn't the case anymore.

You might read this and think ''damn, this game must be amazing, this guy is putting it above TW3''

Well let me tell you first of all that this game is not for everyone. It is indeed a great game, the best I've ever played in fact, but again it might not be for you. Putting that aside, objectively this game is a masterpiece, and even though the port leaves much to be desired i would recommend at least trying it as it is original as much as it is innovative.

If you ask me the game is worth the full price but if you are not sure about getting it, take advantage of the sales and give it a go. Even if you don't end up liking it, there is much to learn about how games are made nowadays in this niche masterpiece.

You'll spend countless hours in this game. Playing solo or with friends, doesn't matter, you'll have a lot of fun :)

After my original review posted when the game was released, I have decided to finally edit it and give this game a positive rating. After this many updates (and all of them for free) this games deserves to be treated well. Good job Hello Games!
