Holy Moly. Ok.

I tried 2 times to get into this.

Cool idea, has potential, but the amount of issues currently to even be on sale? No way. First issue, the attack animation got stuck. Couldnt do anything. Figured ok, could just be a small issue. Ill leave and restart. Then the next issue presented itself. No way to escape or quit. Thought maybe this was just an issue for me, to not read the keybinds. Maybe the dev didnt make 'esc' the default. So I had to alt+f4 it.

Reloaded. Checked keybinds. Nope, esc should be a menu. Loaded back in only to get stuck at a door when an enemy was coming through as well, locking me in place, while getting assaulted by multiple. Couldnt escape again or restart (button not working again) So had to close again.

Gave benefit of the doubt at first, but that many issues in 9 minutes? Pass. Hotline miami is worth a replay through versus doing this. Which sucks, because i had been following this.

Pros:
Cool Idea.
Like the idea of powering up through the gameplay. Feels very vamp survivors.

Cons:
Everything...else?
Buttons not working
Freezing in location due to multiple entity interaction.
Freezing of action being taken so you cant attack.

2 bucks for like 7 min playtime is kind of.. bad RoI. But hopefully it gets better in the future!

At first. I was in love with this game. Didn't play others like it, so this was a new one for me.

Lets get the positives stated
I LOVED the ability to go around, and build cars from the parts you find. I really enjoyed being able to mix parts even, and swap stuff out.
I enjoyed to some point, the survival aspect of it, though its kind of not a concern.
For the first few days, i played this game almost nonstop. I had a full convoy being towed of my favorite cars so i could add parts, being towed behind my big truck full of extra parts, gas, and all the things i would need. It was like a madmax adventure almost. And i would still recommend it for this point. If you get into it, and find a car, and spend the time to upgrade it, i would say its still worth it. Though i would wait for a sale. I did only open world, because the story of having aliens come in and end it after a certain distance didnt appeal to me.
In the beginning, i even thought about pushing for leaderboards for distance traveled, but then people started glitching that.

And now, the issues.
The game has seen pretty huge success. Even from when i started playing it before alot of popular content creators started featuring it. And the progess is still ridiculously slow. Feels like the devs could have added some people to help. So far, from what i could tell, they added a community manager.
The discord has a spot to suggest cars, and ideas. People can vote things up to no end, but honestly this feels like a dead end. Very little dev addition to it. Its like, kind of a false hope for things to comes.
At one point, POI's in the game stopped spawning any kind of loot. I had to reload multiple saves prior and hope that things would spawn. They finally did, but alot of progress was lost.
I think my second to biggest issue flows into my biggest. So.. i'll try to be respectful about it. There was 2 points that turned me off to this game in a huge way.

At one point they added a 'backrooms' event. The idea was kind of cool, but when someone voiced their frustration about it on discord. They were met with backlash from the devs. 'You cant please everyone' was part of their statement. I dont remember the rest. Yes. You cant please everyone. But in a game that is highly focused around /building cars/ and traveling. Adding a backroom event is...weird. And the reaction from the dev was just, uncalled for. Sure, you cant please everyone, but you can stay in the bounds of what game premise is. The other part of this frustration was a follow up comment they made. About how small the team was, and how long it takes to do things.... DUDE. IF IT TAKES THAT LONG, MAYBE FOCUS ON THE CORE ASPECT OF THE GAME. They then later went on to say something about 'we give an update every month' only to be reminded by a member of their mod team that it had been MONTHS since there was an update. Their reply was 'oh lol, sorry i forgot there was 2 versions of the game' being a version that is in like alpha for a certain base, and then the game that the rest of us get, even though its early access.

The feeling is this. Theres no leadership or direction behind the team to have a realistic expectation of timelines, or doing things for the audiance. They are making what they want, for them. Not for the thousands of gamers that have paid into the game. There's been a thousand of comments asking for a hauler, or garage, and they keep teasing it. Yet they can keep doing little events and additions that make them laugh.

I love the idea. I love the concept. They need to hire a project manager. They need to push for goals instead of a 'whatever happens, happens'

Because of the lack of relevant updates, and attitude given, i cannot endorse this. Can get it, and enjoy it for a few hours, but you will run out of things, and run into multiple issues during that time. Its a game i wish i would have found 2 years from now when maybe its had some time to mature. I'll keep it installed. And i'll keep checking. But by now, theres absolutely no reason im still playing the same game i got over half a year ago. watch it, and if you see some updates finally, maybe give it a go.

Randomly came across this after playing another incremental game during work. Downloaded the demo, got hooked, and was stupid happy to see that it released within 24hrs of finding it. I was literally waiting to play it when I got off work, instead of just passively while working.

+I love the fun take on it the incremental genre, and it definitely is worth the price.

+Dev is very humble, and also engaging with community. Not like some others in this area, where it feels like its hard to talk to because they act like they assume more than you. Very open to feedback.

+The game itself is pretty consistent to what would be expected, but also there's some periods in there there you might have to wait for a buildup of a resource. This isnt a bad thing, it makes you actively engage into the other areas to ensure that everything is optimal. Makes me feel like...factorio or satisfactory in a way where you want things all optimized to ensure you can hit 3-4 updates to your machines all at once.

I've seen others complete this in breakneck speed, and while i usually try to do that myself with games of this genre, i dont feel as.. pressured? focused? I wait for the next big 'death goal' so i can get the extra gold for the upgrade. Letting it play out on itself in a way.

I havent finished the game yet, but i feel like already im going to want more. Which can be hard to do with a set 'end goal' of a population size. Perhaps future updates will include different variables to increase birthrate or something like that. However, currently its not a negative overall for me as im just enjoying the game as it is.

TL:DR If you like clicker/incremental games? Get it. Its fun. It's a unique take. Dev is super worth it alone. Community also seems friendly. Will update if anything goes crazy askew between now and finishing it.

Thought this was a bit of a crazy game, but also thought it was pretty fun! Especially for the price. 8.5 hours of entertainment for 13bucks.

Started this game about a week ago on Oculus to just have some fun. I think I'm close to around 30 hours in it now within a week. Though, its not tallied through steam, i assure you... this simple virtual chat room will make time vanish. Just make sure that you're playing with friends for the most fun.
