huh, I wasn't expecting "God of War but open world" to be good. go figure.

This game is exactly what the Innuendo Studios video on crashing out says it is.

There is a tapestry of interesting puzzles somewhere in here, but it's buried by the sheer amount of padding caused mostly by its rogue-like loop (and partly by at least a few egregiously time-wasting puzzles). The bulk of the experience is less Return of the Obra Dinn and more defective escape room.

I'm sure there's a lot to enjoy if you're willing to grind for it, but I had to put the game down when i realised I spent the vast majority of the playtime not engaging with any of its interesting puzzles but instead running minor variations on the same boring loop. The juice is not worth the squeeze.

A lovely adventure game about a lovely clown and his lovely animal friends. Feels like an old LucasArts game but with about a tenth of the frustration.

A friend recently complained to me that Disco Elysium had "too much reading". There are literally no English language words in Dropsy. Not even in the settings menu. You will not need your dictionary.

The spider game is cute and the puzzles are surprisingly interesting. Two mandibles up.

Unbearably grindy (thanks, former microtransaction economy) and controls don't work as well with more enemies. Just play Shadow of Mordor again instead.
