EDIT: They listened and reversed course.

Forcing an unnecessary PSN account to be created and linked, when the game has been proven to not only work but flourish without it for months, is unbelievably predatory, especially to the countless customers residing in countries where PSN is unavailable (and yet were sold the game on Steam regardless).
