Another victim of the Subscription not working to go with the thousands of others experiencing this issue. STEAM should really just disable this Subscription from the storage page for this game. It simply does not work.

Unique and quick game play style utilising short skirmishes in the context similar to Civ building games but without the civ building. The game take's the element of the skirmishes and puts it at the forefront of its game design and it does it well. Great animations, fluid game play. Recommended.

Even at it's core (unmodded); this is a masterfully beautiful open world to adventure and explore with an excellent questing system and an enormous amount of content to enjoy.
The game may be enjoyable to all sorts of RPG fans. If however, you are after an incredibly deep and beautiful story and narrative; this is not it: the game is held together by threads of a loosely tied short main story quest line that barely builds on the world you are experiencing.
However, if you are an avid reader and love lore; like in the classic days of AD&D games as well as Larian Studio games, there are books everywhere containing chunks of story and lore that really bring life to the world and its world building.

One of my favourite games of all time - Atmosphere, music, story are absolutely breathtaking.

Fantastic 4X game. Have been playing GalCiv since the original and have never lost interest in its play. It's kept a lot of the core ideas right and keeps building on top of them to create a vast and complex universe.
