I love this game. My advice, just pick a character and start playing. I must've played the first map two dozen times with different characters; I was paralyzed by the choices. But, the story is so good! Start on a medium difficulty, pick a class (I'd recommend Paladin since it is easy to RP and has some unique story choices) and go. Later, when you are trying the harder difficulties, then you can make the Most Ultimate Character with all the best stats and such. This first time, though, get the story.
