Mostly just reviewing this for 2022 steam nominations but it's pretty fun I guess but to play with people online you'd probably want to watch some YT videos on how to counter the adv strategies that people use.

Has a lot of stupid problems like crappy monetization and progression but the gameplay is pretty fun. Play it if you don't care about the issues.

Basically a really fun and polished Sonic game. I think if SEGA was a better company they would have added more DLC levels for this instead of doing garbage remakes like origins and superstars or whatever.

I really liked the remakes of levels like chemical plant and flying battery because just in general I think those zone were really cool to begin with.

However, the game is at its most fun when you're actually playing new levels like studioplolis and I kind of hate that every Sonic game seems to feel obligated to have green hill instead of a new zone or even just remaking a zone like mushroom hill or angel island which never get any love. In terms of DLC levels, remakes of either of those or the carnival zone would have been perfect.

There was some Denuvo nonsense related to this game at launch but luckily that is over now.

All that said, I hate titan monarch.
