I'll start with the main game (GTA IV):
There are some missions that you can complete only if you look up online for guides or fixes. You reach a certain point in the mission and the loading screen is loading forever. When I looked up online, someone recommended on Reddit to set your graphics to "Very Low" + "Enable V-Sync" + "Disable G-Sync" (if applicable). Indeed, those things fixed some issues but I was disappointed to find that this problem was not fixed till the moment of this review. At first, I was ok with this but later in this review, you will find why this became a bigger problem.

As this game is a PC port, you will encounter spike legs, visual glitches, and so on. The game was played and tested on an RTX 2080 SUPER and with all the settings cranked up, there are constant frame drops, spike legs, etc.

You will encounter a couple of missions where you have to drive a bike. Seems easy, right? WRONG! I don't know who wrote the code/script for the bike drive mechanic but my god, it's the worst experience you can have in this game. The bikes are simply un-driveable... I tried to drive it with a controller because maybe this is how the game mechanic was developed but no....it's the same issue. The bikes have 0 traction and if you attempt to make the smallest stear to right or left...the bike spins out.

There are a couple of missions where you have to drive a helicopter...it's the same scenario as the thing with the bikes.... If you don't have an XBOX 360/ONE controller or a PS controller, you're done! It's game over. The helicopters are so hard to control on PC but not impossible.

When I try moving my mouse REALLY slow, it doesn't register in-game. And I can't aim diagonally, only up, down, left or right. Lowering the DPI and in-game sens will not fix this.

Let's move to GTA IV : TLAD:

Besides the issues presented above, I have nothing to say bad about it. The infinite loading screen issue is not present in this DLC for some reason.

Moving on to GTA IV : TBOGT:

This DLC made me happy and cry at the same time and this DLC was the reason who made me write this review.

As a completionist, I wanted to make every mission with a 100% rating and this was a big mistake from my end. You will get frustrated and start to eat from the table as the game will get on your nerves. All the problems presented from GTA IV in my review will make you suffer if you want to make all the missions with a gold rating in TBOGT.
I think I had more than 5 missions on this DLC where the endless loading screen bug happened and this was annoying AF!!!

You want to make 100% accuracy? Here comes the mouse deadzone issue!
You want to drive a bike / a helicopter fast to finish the mission at a certain time? You better have a controller ready for the helicopter and pray for your driving skills to make a straight line with the bike!
I swear! I was at some point where I had to do 100% rating on the final missions. I managed to get all the stats perfect but guess what? MY F'in BIKE WAS UNDERSTEARING LIKE HELL AND I WAS SIMPLY UNABLE TO CATCH THE PLANE ANYMORE resulting in failing the mission :').

To be honest, I find this unacceptable to find these issues in 2022 on this game which was released in 2008 :). C'mon R* ... why is so hard to speak with 2/3 developers and improve the driving, shooting, and solve the loading screen issue.

Now let's talk about why this game has 90 score points on Metacritic. Because it's a masterpiece! With all the issues presented above, hands down, this game was way ahead of it's time and it's understandable why there is some issue. The game was developed on tube monitors so we shall overlook my frustrations.

The story IMO is better than GTA V - Euphoria engine a blast at that point and they did everything right in regards to physics.
Top-notch actors and outstanding acting.
Music selection - 10/10.

You MUST! play this game. The issues I had will not influence your game so much only if you are a completionist.

I remember when my dad bought this game for me in physical format back in 2008 and I was so excited to play it but sadly, I didn't have such a performant PC to play the game and now I had the chance to understand the story better and see why this game is a masterpiece.

Bottom line, I wanted to make you aware of some issues which you will encounter as you might or you might not buy the game due to these problems.

DIFFICULTY - Normal
GRAPHICS - Masterpiece for a game which was released in 2008
MUSIC - Beautiful
STORY - Well written & natural acting.
PRICE - Perfect price for around 80 hours of gameplay.
LENGHT - Long (50-90 hours)
FUN - Actually pretty amusing.
REPLAYABILITY - Definitely.
WORTH BUYING - Wait for sale.

Overall Score - 7/10 due to numerous problems.
