Great game. Sadly however I found that some moments were simply too tedious and I ended up looking up guides and using cheat engine. If the checkpoint system was improved I would've not gotten to such lengths. Anyway I am playing for the story and the story is delightful.

Quite a nice game. Cute graphics. The gameplay is pretty good. Overall 8/10

TLDR: this game is great, but not the best...

If Hearts of Iron IV was a mobile game.

This is one of the rare instances where the beta version is better than the released version. In the beta there were constantly new mechanics added to make the gameplay more fun, you were able to change direction of escaltors etc. Now this game has been essentially abandoned except for bug fixes (which even they are ♥♥♥♥). I started playing out this game as a pirate and I regret paying the full price tag for it. I should've stuck to playing it on pirate.

Yes it is a very fun game, but it's optimization is pretty bad for the sandbox game that it is (no multi-core support etc.), in the vanilla it lacks many fun elements that you have to unlock via DLCs or download a ♥♥♥♥-ton of mods/assets that end up lowering your fps drastically.
TLDR: Good game, runied by (presumably) greediness and/or poor optimization.

If you need to learn russian. You know what to do.

Okay, so this review is less about the game and more about the devs mentality, I think that their recent destitution to stop the release of Russian DLC just because of the mentality Russia Bad is just downright weird, its like they want the spotlight for the current thing... I like the game and will continue playing it, however it has made me think of DLC Unlockers.
