Compared to windows form it lacks so much functionality, for example I'm building a very simple IDE for part of my project and I'm using a rich text box for the editor. Parsing through the text box and changing the colour of keywords took me over 6 hours yesterday to write as there is no obvious way to do it. It has to be cast to a few text ranges to find the location of words and then translated back to the rtb. Not to mention significant input lag before I'd even started to write any code for it (running in both debug and release).
