Game is overrun with hackers and 10 year olds. Fun sometimes, but not enough.

As an IRL hunter, I find this game very entertaining when I can't go hunt outside.

SUMMARY:
Game is slow, but that's how it's supposed to be. Constantly edging your gamer peen until you shoot that monster buck. It's great at what it does, and the devs are proactive in fixing bugs. Don't expect to be running and gunning in this game or finding monster bucks around every corner. Just like any game, it has it's own pace and you need to recognize that.
PROS:
Hunting everything out of season, no permits, no clean up. Monster animals that make it all worth it (my favorite are moose).

CONS:
There are a few bugs with lions and items that rarely occur, but the devs are working on them.

COST:
You get what you pay for. Base game is very fun, but there are many DLCs that allow you to expand on it. DLCs are fairly priced in my opinion. I wouldn't bother with the night hunting DLC unless you're into that I guess.

I would highly recommend this game to slow and strategic players, not if you play COD or some other FPS.
