Hello Santa, I remember playing a lot of Yoshi's Island on the game boy advance when I was a kid. I loved the magical universe the game was setting place and the overall feeling of pleasure visiting each level, being different from one to another, is something I find hard to replicate as an adult in most recent games...

I really like and miss the sly cooper trilogy
core memory: there is the pirate section in sly 3 where you have to read a map to find treasure to progress the story
as a non english speaking kid at the age of 10 playing on his ps2 I was stuck on that part for so long , before the times of "just google it" or using translators
one day I got a giant english dictionary from my parents and sat down , started translating each map word by word slowly , it was a bit of an incoherent mess but eventually I manage to pull it off and got through that part , finally progressing and continuing the game to its end !
good times :cleasmug:
recently played the entire trilogy again using emulator , was fun :shigure2:

Grim Fandango, found the 3d graphics and setting/theme astonishing, although I had no idea of the plot or missions because my English was so bad. Basically I was just clicking everywhere and watching if something happens.

Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, I was however too scared of the mummies - so watching my dad play was also a fond memory. :boop:

Quest 64 🙈 even tho it was awful, it was one of the first games I played. When I was a bit older, it would have been Pokemon, mario, halo, turok, mortal kombat & killer instinct. Stuff like that.

Also, to Meg below me - how rude, to come to someone's profile and insult them. Everyone is allowed to enjoy what they want, op wasn't being entitled or acting like only their review matters lol wtf :shit: on you

Warcraft III (PC), Medievil (PSX), FFXII (PS2), Ultimate Spider-Man (PS2) these are among my childhood top few, just mentioning their names makes me nostalgic

Owning, playing and reviewing all sorts of games across multiple genres, this opened the door for many opportunities to playtest and review games. This is and will always be a hobby and an escape, that's what makes it so special.

Hey love your profile! How did you get to the point of being able to review games for developers? Thanks!

My favorite game was Kinect Adventures! I used to play it a lot on my Xbox 360. I've heard people say the tracking wasn't good, but I never had any issues, so I also bought Kinect Sports 1 & 2 which was my second favourite.

Dragon ball budokai tenkaichi 3 was one of my favorites, it was super good for it's time, ill always say it was peak.
Fights felt epic, you had a lot of of your childhood heroes to pick. It was also relatively easy, but you felt great mashimg buttons.
I don't feel the same for sparking zero tho. Don't know what it is. But I just don't feel the same magic, the older just hit different

My favourite childhood game is The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. I fell in love with its story, world and its ground-breaking features in 3D gaming. I've beat it so many times in many different editions (N64, NGC, VC, 3DS) and it's still my favourite Zelda game to this day!

When I was younger I played a ton of Wii Sports Resort. It’s simple, but it gets my heart rate up and feels immersive to me in ways that not even modern VR games do. I still play it every few months. Even so, I haven’t 100%ed any of the sports to this day. Maybe eventually…

Hello again! My favorite game was Banjo Kazooie. Bright colors, good music and cute characters with a good story. The game play was 10 out of 10, and had good flow. Something games sometimes forget is important. Rare was really the peak of gaming at the time. All my top games from back then were Rareware.

When I think about my childhood days, one of the games that immediately comes to mind is "GUN", developed by Neversoft and published by Activision. It was a real find for me, and I remember how with bated breath I plunged into the world of the Wild West, full of adventure, danger and exciting moments. I remember having fun exploring every corner, looking for secrets and just enjoying the game.
This story of revenge and redemption was so captivating that I couldn't tear myself away from the screen and finished it in 4 days.
Many different modified revolvers and Colt Lightning Carbine then blew my mind.
The soundtrack perfectly complemented the atmosphere of the game.
Looking back, it's games like these that shape our love for video games. It`s not just a game, it is a memory of the carefree days of my childhood.
after all these years I still love this game, even though it is outdated for today

My favorite game when I was a kid is Crash Bandicoot, and what drew me to this game is the design of stages and catchy sound affects, in addition to the amazing feeling when I get all the gems after a long hassle.

So many games makes it hard to choose but I have to give it to Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga for GBA as I loved the sprite work of the game, the story was amazing and funny, had a great soundtrack and the fact you could dodge the enemies attacks made it so you were always on your toes.

I always loved playing Counter-Strike (1.6) while I was growing up. You'd meet all sort of interesting people over the years. I'm still friends with many of them to this day.

I have a lot of favorite childhood games but Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Sky is probably the one that stuck with me the most because of its story and gameplay :needy_octopus:

My favorite childhood game is Metal Gear Solid 3 for sure, despite some slightly janky controls, the game holds up pretty well even today

One of my favorite game that I used to play a lot when I was a Kid on my Chinese knockoff NES console was Legend of Kage. It's a side scroller hack and slash where you play as a ninja trying to save the princess. Another one was Bomberman.
2025 年 2 月 16 日 上午 4:11
I didn't get to play video games much when I was a kid but I know that my favorite game as a kid was probably Contra when my dad got a player and that was the first and only time I saw him play a game, I have to say I saw him so happy and it made me happy too. So that was my favorite game of my childhood.

My favourite childhood game was Age of Empires 1. I played so many hours. I always played on easy, build a big base, discover all techs and then create a big army to destroy the enemy. I still play age of Empires games, but now I play it properly :) at higer difficulties.

Game I played and I still remember is Moonwalker on arcade. I used to finish it with only one coin and, sometimes, without losing a single life.
Any award will be appreciated. 😇

Favorite childhood game include Super Mario, Street Fighter 2, TMNT games, Mega Man, Contra, The Legend of Zelda...

My only (so technically favorite) childhood game would be "Dokapon: Monster Hunter". It was so heavily RNG-based, but it also served to make the one game extremely replayable. Imagine playing rock-paper-scissor as the main form of combat throughout a turn-based JRPG -- it would akin to Mario Party RNG levels of frustration but single player. I have gone back to play it once, but it is still as RNG and grindy as I remember.

I'm kinda old but I was a huge fan of the original Bionic Commando on NES, it was tons of fun. These days it seems like people find it very challenging, but back then I loved it.

Phantasmagoria
I played this game with my mum and sister. Me and my sister were still little kids, so we were so scared that we didn't dare to put our name when we started a new game. My mum would play the game and we would watch and hide behind her every time something scary was on. :roar:

The Little Big Planet games were one of my absolute favorites growing up. Such a cheery game full of wonder and creativity. It was fun just joining a group of people and playing random created levels together, building levels, and just messing around.

Favorite game from my childhood? hard to pick just one

Favorite GAME(playing) and also deep emotional attachment were Zombies Ate My Neighbours and Donkey Kong 2(both on the Snes). Not such a favorite on gameplay(its awesome still) but deeply meaningful to me was Star Fox, snes, my first cartridge, first console and the only game my dad also liked (and we raced each other speedrunning it)

But id also put as high Heretic 2 (PC), to this day a jewel. I missed a lot of the plot and found it creepy but i already loved fantasy and it had such a interesting world and ambience... and it was mindblowing for me what games could do/become. Heck to this day even- gaming went for a more casual locked animation route and Heretic 2 you play an acrobat with deep movement and complete finesse control in ways rarely done. Heck ive only seen that in Heretic 2 and Oni.

Santa Fighter 2000
(I was kidding but I actually played that game which is specifically a flash game back in late 2000s and early 2010s, I forgot the year when it was released. I only mentioned this game as a playful poke to your identity theme for Santa Claus)

Anyways, as for the game I enjoyed playing as a kid are a lot in list actually. Perhaps it would be; "Contra Force" from Koonami, "Fantasia" from SEGA, "Battletoads (Genesis)" from Tradewest, "Super Mario Bros." and "Mario Party Advance" from Nintendo, "Legend of Kage" and "Road Fighter" from Famicom.

Hello,
My favorite childhood game is The Legend of Dragoon for the PS1, because of things like the memories I have playing it, and I really love the story and the way the turn-based combat works. Another similar game is Wild Arms 2, or any other game from the series, but 1 & 2 specifically also for the memories but for the soundtracks too.

Santa Claus actually is the Devil historically...

My favorite game from childhood is the same as the guy who posted before me. Ocarina of Time is the first game I owned and it is such a good adventure game. The dungeons have fun puzzles. The different settings are enjoyable. I like the story. The side quests aren’t overwhelming or boring but actually add to the game and make your time easier.

Hello.

There are lots of games I could pick, but I'd go with Skyrim, which I played a lot in my childhood. It's still one of my favorite games. I enjoyed it a lot and still do because of the amount of things you can do, like exploring its huge world. Its replayability is pretty much endless.

The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth is another one. I played it a lot since I was 9 years old and it's still among my favorites. Since that age and even right now, I always really liked games like that. It has a lot of content, synergies and fun, unexpected things can always happen in each run. Again, esentially endless replayability. Also, because it is a hard game. I like difficult games. It's satisfying to win runs wich characters like The Lost.
