I pretty much only play Madden for MUT. I enjoy earning card packs and opening them to try to build *my* Ultimate Team. Sadly, EA has made this feature so complicated and convoluted (and done everything they can to force you to pay money), it's basically ruined the whole process. Gone are the days when you could go into Legend Challenges, find the players you idolized as a kid, earn their cards and then spend time playing the game to make those cards better. Now to get the cards you want, you have to have scores of other cards combined into different cards to combine into different cards, then combine those into *different* cards, but along the entire process, you either need to get *extremely* lucky or pay *loads* of cash to have slightly better odds to get the cards you need. The entire goal is, "let's do everything we can to force people into paying to buy as many packs as we can" when it should be, "let's do everything we can to make a fun game". Of course, that's EA's gameplan with everything, so I shouldn't be surprised.

The game sure is pretty, but combine the facts above with how unnecessarily complicated and unintuitive the interfaces and menus are; the ridiculous amounts of splash screens, animations, and celebrations you can't cancel out of; the toxic community you're almost *forced* to play with; and the lack of anything new or innovative in years, the only way I can recommend buying the game is on deep discount.

I'm horrible at it, but I still enjoy it. The music is fantastic and I hope that if I keep at it, I'll figure out why I keep screwing up.

Like many others, I really, REALLY want to like this game. However, also like others, I just can't say I recommend buying it. There are so many little flaws that just add up to massive amounts of frustration on top of some pretty big flaws that just make it all "not ready for Primetime" right now.

Examples:

1) Too many weird GUI bugs and/or features that cause soooooo much unnecessary clicking. Clicking the dropdown to filter by animal type? Sure. Here's another dropdown for animal type. Want to look up an animal's in the Zoopedia and then go back to the list to choose which one(s) you want to adopt or buy? Sure. But we'll ignore the fact you just went through and set all your filters and reset them so you have to do it all over again. Also, way too many instances of notification window animations that close all the windows you have open already, which requires you to reopen them (and go through resetting all your filters again).

2) Horrible camera controls that seem either too responsive or not responsive enough, usually whichever one is the most inconvenient at the time.

3) Animal mating on hyperdrive, but you can't turn it off because of the need to sell offspring to make money.

4) Sometimes in the Animal Exchange, selecting all and then trying to sell them does nothing. So you have to sell your critters one at a time over and over and over and over again.

5) Again, so much seemingly unnecessary (or at least unnecessarily tedious) clicking. It amplifies the tedium of the micromanagement and makes it seem so much worse.

6) When you research new things for your animals, it doesn't tell you what you unlocked. I just says "you unlocked things!" so you have to click click click click click click click click click click and hunt all over the place for anything new that shows up in your menus. Even going into the lab and hovering over the researched items doesn't tell you what they are. You just have to figure out where to look by the vague icons for each thing.

I could go on, but I'll just end by saying it makes me very sad that this seems so unpolished and un-fun right now. I sincerely hope it gets better.

Been playing since the first backer build was available.

RimWorld will go down as one of the best games ever made. No question about it.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that was trying to figure out why on Earth I would ever have considered backing THIS game on Kickstarter 5 years ago. I thought I had better taste than that.

Turns out I DO have better taste than this. This isn't even remotely the game I backed, the game we were promised, or the game we were shown.

There isn't one single redeeming quality about this "game". It's a waste of drive space and a waste of time for whoever actually created it and tried to pass it off to the backers.

OH MY GOD Steam won't let me post a review because I only played the game for 2 minutes and need to have played for 5. Please hold on while I sit in the start menu for 3 minutes.

Good grief, that was torture.

I want to like this game. I really do. I'm hoping I can come back in a few updates and things will be better and at that point, I can actually like it.

Right now, it's far too frustrating.

I only paid 1.49 for this and I'm still considering asking for a refund.

Let me expound a bit...

This almost seems like someone had an idea for a decent Tapping Game on a mobile platform and then decided to turn it into a bare-bones PC port. This game, so far, seems to be nothing more than clicks. Want to make resources? Click to make one of ANYTHING, but you only get one per click, so if you want 40, click 40 times. Or you can just turn on automation and it will keep making things ad infinitum. There's no "process" to make anything. It's just clicks. You don't have to send out astronauts to mine ore, you don't have to extract anything from the soil. Well, maybe you do theoretically, but if you want to go that route, it's all in your imagination.

Want to build the more complicated buildings? Just wait til the automated counters tick up and build one when you have enough supplies.

I'm renaming this Earth Space Colonies: Click and Wait.

This game just keeps getting better. I've been playing since the very beginning after finding Stonehearth on Kickstarter and immediately backing it. It's the kind of game I absolutely love and it's quickly becoming the game that I hold other games of it's kind up against.

I really can't give enough praise to the developers and the community for being exemplary, also. Everyone is helpful, receptive, and willing to listen to ideas and suggestions.

Why aren't you playing this yet? Stop reading words and start clicking buttons. Not just any buttons, but specifically the buttons needed to PUT THIS GAME IN YOUR STEAM. Shove it in there deep and wiggle it around a little. Not just the tip. The whole download. It'll feel good.

Promise.
