This controller is excellent for strategy games and remote desktop control from the couch, but I can't for the life of me get used to using it in shooters despite the superior accuracy that the trackpad offers. The face buttons are just in a really weird position to use consistently, and it's easy to feel fatigued after extended use of the controller due to its design.

It was a cool product, just not very ergonomic. Sad they discontinued it rather than innovating it, because I'd still recommend it for casual living room use anytime.

I've only put in 7.3 hours on launch day between 1PM Eastern and 2AM Eastern when I put it down for the night, but despite the needed breaks, all I can think about is jumping back in. I'm going to be so sad when I beat the game, and I'll probably run through it again with different weapon upgrades. I don't know what I can really say about this game without spoiling anything, because trust me, you'll want to go in blind and experience it all with a clean slate. It's absolutely phenomenal. However, I will leave you with a protip that I intend to follow on playthrough #2: do NOT get the reflex sight. The laser sights are so much better.

The fact that this game is so popular over 10 years later should say all you need to know. Bring a friend!

Please do not mistake my review as a disdain for this game. Saints & Sinners has been very good for me so far, but there is one thing (as a roomscale player) that is breaking this game for me - the crouching and the camera. If you intend to play this seated or somehow standing rigidly still from the chest down for several hours is comfortable for you, by all means play this game. It is excellent and the devs have put a lot of love into it and have been very communicative thus far.

So, if you are familiar with roomscale VR, you are familiar with the device's six degrees of freedom design. You lean to peek around a corner? It's reflected in-game. You bend down to pick something up? The camera follows your movements. This is an essential part of maintaining your immersion, because there is nothing more jarring than having control of your camera ripped away from you when you try to crouch, or even look up/down; however, that is exactly what Saints & Sinners does.

When I play a VR game in roomscale, or even standing, I like to physically interact with my environment and it isn't just a preference - it's instinct. When you're standing up playing a VR game and a gunshot comes whizzing past your head, what's the first thing you would feel inclined to do? Press a button on your right controller, or drop to the deck and get out of harm's way? I prefer the latter, but if I physically react like that, the camera will jerk itself back up to the default height (sometimes even if I look down too far without adjusting my standing posture whatsoever) which is nauseating. I can handle camera jank from things like animations/cutscenes occasionally but with something as repetitive and instinctual as crouching, it's really hard to keep playing this. For comparison, Boneworks did not make me feel nauseous at all. I've been playing roomscale VR w/ smooth locomotion for two years now.

If the camera jank weren't enough, though, the worst part of it is probably the posture you're forced into to play this game standing up. Without having the freedom to lean, stretch, bend down, crouch, stand up on your toes, etc. it gets incredibly comfortable to stand still aside from slight head and arm movements. I know this crouch-button thing was a design decision, and I have absolutely no qualms with a developer offering comfort options to appeal to a broader market, because when more people play VR, we all benefit. But that's just what it should be - an option. Let us choose. You've hit the mark on so many things that I would hate to lose interest in this game over something so simple.

Again, to Skydance, thank you for making an incredible game and keeping in contact with us throughout the launch. I know this was a design decision on your part, but I implore you to give us options here because for a lot of us, physical interactivity like crouching and bending down to pick things up are absolute necessities. Let us take on what we can handle, and leave the comfort options so that nobody has to be left out on this experience.

All the best. :)

UPDATE 01/25/20 approx 9:48AM EDT:

The devs appear to have pushed out an alpha hotfix for the physical crouching! It will require an .ini tweak, but I am completely blown away by how fast these guys fixed it. Thank you so much, Skydance devs. You're doing incredible work. Buy the game and support this dev!!!!

I only played the first three FNAF games way back when, and decided to pick this up to play it during a horror livestream I was doing.

Ran out of power on night one at 5AM, literally fell to the floor and begged for mercy and I was saved by 6AM.

I'll get back to you when I work up the nerve to fire up night two.

10/10

If you have a VR HMD and a HOTAS, Elite: Dangerous is a hell of an experience for when you feel like sitting down and chilling while you explore the vast emptiness of space.

Barely have any playtime in and I can already tell I'm gonna enjoy this more than Gorn. The weapon handling is so much weightier and oh lord can you pull off some fantastic moves with the game's physics. Well worth the $20 price tag, and I can't wait to see what's added down the line.

Probably my most played VR game (it's a lot harder for a thicc boi like myself to put in extended VR time) and I have no intention of quitting anytime soon. The game itself is just plain fun. The TTK feels pretty low but arcade-y enough to where you can still pull off some sweet flicks. The graphics aren't the best, but that means more people on lower end hardware can play it. Finding a game is never an issue due to this; the game consistently has one of the highest playercounts on VRLFG. The icing on this delicious Pavlov cake is that the game has Workshop support. Like Halo? CoD? CS:GO? Doom? Duke Nukem? If it exists, someone has already made or will make a map for it. The stock gamemodes already offer plenty of diversity (Search & Destroy, a one-life objective based mode, Team Deathmatch which speaks for itself, FFA Deathmatch, and Gungame where everyone starts with a certain weapon and you have to get a kill to progress to the next) but the Workshop and its maps have introduced entirely new modes to the game like Jailbreak and Trouble in Terrorist Town. Also, a Battle Royale mode is reportedly in the works, but after all this time with no update on it, I'm assuming it's been canceled. Still, awesome game. Well worth the price of admission. I'd buy a Vive just for this game if I had to. Reminds me of laser tag when I was a boy.

The games offered within are very fun. I bought this mainly for pool but it has plenty to offer. However, if you're planning to play this online with randoms, skip it. You won't be able to find a game unless you have friends join you. This is not a problem with the game, but with VR in general.
