The game has potential, even when I was not a fan of this team's previous works, I gave it a chance and I enjoyed myself, but this demo has some flaws. The lack of a Calibration test like in every single rhythm game out there is the thing that tilted me the most, since you can only set the values, and just have to test it while playing, which can be annoying if you have to set either a high value or a negative one. Then, while the maps are decent, they feel off in some way. I can say that after playing a lot of other Rhythm games, they just feel kinda weird, even in the easier charts, the 7-10 charts are kinda cool but still, something feels off. I don't really mind the zoomer humor, since it kinda fits the game in some way. Other than that, the music is really good, the characters are good in my opinion, and the visuals and everything make the game really charming. Again, steam not having a mid section is the only reason why I'm giving this a thumbs up, since I believe the final game can get polished.
Edit: I just found out Nanahira is the voice of the main character. I was like, hey this girl has a peculiar voice, then I check the trailers and it says Nanahira and I freak out

Just, turn off the internet and play this game. You will love this game and call it amazing for the many things it does and how it handles horror, or hate beacause you have bad taste (How can you hate on this game?, you haters are just wrong). Give it a try, it's worth its price. And with a Major update coming, I can see this game having a really good future in the Horror game community

Please for the love of God try this game out, don't let the people confuse you into thinking this is some Valorant with Genshin BS fusion, this is a really good third person shooter with an interesting yet whacky idea, which is the 2D to 3D gameplay. Please devs add LATAM servers :)

Ok so, updated review:
I still think having an "Expansion pass" is total BS, the costumes and extra music are legitimately worthless and should have been separate DLC
Now, the actual important part, The Answer
I've only played a couple of hours by the time of this review, and have not played the original. However, this is still a 30+ hour campaign with some extra stuff, like the totally unnecessary Joker Persona 5 fight.
Overall, this should have been 20 dollars, but the extra campaign is actually really cool
