Changing my review from positive to negative until the persistent "Corrupt Install Detected" crashes get fixed.

It has ruined many, many rounds for me, and I am one among many people struggling with this issue with no documented/satisfactory response from support.

EMBARK, FIX YOUR GAME.

I really can't say much more than what's already been said here, but to summarize:

• Everything that Hades did right, Hades II does even better. The game is much, much bigger, with more variety and options.
• The story, writing, dialogue, and music are phenomenal.
• The combat is crisp and satisfying/
• The game is rather difficult. Each run ("Night") is a lesson.

Supergiant truly outdid themselves. This is a top notch game in all respects! If this doesn't get a mention in the Steam Awards I would be very surprised.

At first glance, the story feels slightly cliche, ever so slightly forced. Hardcore sci-fi fans may be put off at first. But give it time. It gets better. *Everything* gets better:

The atmosphere matures.
The story develops.
The difficulty scales.
The combat intensifies.
The gameplay loops become more rewarding.

It's genuinely a great game that let's you play it your way.

Very fun, relaxing management and building game. I find myself coming back to it over and over again. It has a unique charm and is highly replayable, with just the right amount of complexity to keep your mind occupied.

Hilariously entertaining, legit hardcore FPS action. Play on hardest difficulty to get the most out of this charming little masterpiece.

Very fun little demo. Takes me right back.. Makes me want to play the Commandos 2 HD Remaster. The only game that came anywhere close to what Commandos did was Shadow Tactics -- definitely worth playing for fans of this genre while we wait for the full release.

I have no doubt that it's going to be a fantastic game.

I find myself wondering if there will ever be a game like this again

Five years after its release, I finally decided to play RDR2. I'm glad I waited and I'm sad it's over.

Three months and 130 hours later, I have finished the main storyline. After the main character's story, just as you think you've finished the game, the epilogue begins. Basically a whole quarter of the map unlocks at this point, leaving you feeling like you still have so much more to do and explore.

Will I play it again? Probably not.. The experience was so mind-blowing, I feel like a second playthrough may ruin it. I want to continue looking back fondly on the experience. Perhaps someone will convince me otherwise -- with this game, a second playthrough could be a wholly unique experience!

The game is huge. The story is long. This is not an action game; it's a life simulator.

The best part? The story.

The writing is phenomenal. The characters have real depth. Yes, most of them are psychotic criminals. That's okay. Moral ambiguity is a central theme. If all your life you grew up having only learned to survive by committing crimes, at which point do you begin to question your way of life? When the law starts coming after you, of course! You realize then that your way of life is not normal. You are confronted with change and a massive moral dilemma. Can a criminal also be a good person? If so, how? By being a Robin Hood or by figuring out a way to go straight?

These are just some of the interesting plot elements the player is presented with throughout the rich, entertaining, sometimes-funny, sometimes-sad, all-too-human story.

Look & feel
The graphics are stunning. The animations are generally spot-on, although there are some places where the animators clearly cut corners. Nevertheless, everything looks and feels realistic. The sound design is masterful.

Gameplay
The game is FUN. Not altogether challenging, but hardly ever boring. The pace can be quite slow, especially at the beginning. The game teaches you to appreciate the little moments, stop and take in the scenery, listen in on a random conversation between strangers, pull over and explore something that looks interesting from a distance. The world is alive and inherently responsive to the player's input. It demands that you take interest in it, as you would in the real world without screens and tech. It is not designed to be speedran; it is designed to be mindfully appreciated. The game encourages you to play it in a non-perfectionist manner. Do not try to min-max it. Yes, you can go for 100% completion rate. But first, you need to PLAY it. Treat it as you would your own life: no take-backs. Deal with the consequences of your actions. Make peace with the fact that accidents happen. Learn from your mistakes and the randomness of a chaotic world.

Bugs
Yes, there are bugs; many of them. Expect to see horses clipping through people. Expect to see people stuck on top of buildings. Expect the map to behave badly. Expect missions to bug out. I ran into one bug that caused me to lose ALL OF MY MONEY (upwards of $2000, which is quite a lot in this game). That's okay. I am willing to look past the imperfections of this game, because the experience is unparalleled.

In conclusion

It's worth every cent and every minute of playtime. If you haven't played it yet, what are you doing? This is probably the best game ever created. Game developers will have a difficult time topping it, at least for the next 10 years. The attention to detail and the sense of 'everything coming together' is something truly special -- a collaboration between brilliant minds that only happens once in a lifetime.

It might be more fun with 3 or 4 people.. or probably just more frustrating? Playing it co-op with a friend, I found myself just wanting to get it over and done with. Having played the two amazing co-op games, It Takes Two and A Way Out recently, this game was a real let-down. Now, obviously that's comparing apples to oranges (AAA titles vs. an indie game like Chained Together), but I just feel that all of the hype the game received was not really very well-deserved -- just a gimmick thanks to some streamers and YouTubers having a fun time playing it with an audience. The whole experience feels sloppily stitched-together; levels designed with little substantive thought with assets taken from various 3D libraries.. I may be totally wrong but that's definitely the sense I got while playing the game. Overall would recommend giving this one a miss.

A fantastic game with complex characters and a story line that rivals anything Disney has put out.

If you enjoyed Fallen Order, you'll enjoy Survivor even more. Everything Fallen Order did, Survivor just does better. Most of the doubts I had about buying the game (based on all the negative reviews from the obviously disastrous launch) were very quickly dispelled. Although decidedly not perfect, it is an excellent game in my opinion. As an elder millennial who has been an avid Star Wars fan since I was a kid, this game feels like an important piece of Star Wars lore, with Cal Kestis probably being my favourite Star Wars character so far. His journey and character is complex. He is continually dealt a terrible hand by fate, and yet always seems to find a way through his resourcefulness and willingness to bend the rules that the Jedi Order had previously so strictly imposed. I had the distinct feeling that the devs *knew me* and that this game was designed *for me.* The dry humour, the music tracks in Pyloon's Saloon, the quirky characters, the atmosphere, the challenging gameplay -- it all came together as a truly rewarding experience.

FYI, I had to reduce the difficulty from Jedi Master to Jedi Knight for two of the boss fights, and two of the combat Force Tears. The frustration can reach insane levels. Just do yourself a favour and reduce the difficulty for those fights. You'll know which ones I'm talking about once you reach them.

The level design on the main planet of Koboh is much more spacious, almost with an open-world feel at certain points (although it is obviously not an open-world game). Overall, the level design is intricate and beautiful, with an organic feel. There are certain areas where navigation using the map becomes tricky, but generally it's easier than it was in Fallen Order, which was actually my main gripe with that game.

The combat is way more varied with the different stances that unlock as the game progresses. The controls are somewhat clunky on keyboard and takes some getting used to -- I'm willing to overlook this as the game explicitly states that it's recommended for controller.

There are many bugs, but I did not encounter any game breaking ones, and my game only crashed once during my 67 hours of play at the time of writing.

My suggestion is to fiddle with the visual settings until you find a stable FPS. I had everything on low, except draw distance and foliage detail on high. Field of view on the 'widest' setting also felt right. I had VSync off and DLSS on 'balanced,' but it might be different for you. More optimisation wouldn't have hurt, but it was never so bad as to affect the experience for me.

Get EA Play and play it for a month or two. Whatever you do, do not speedrun this game -- savour it!
