Melinoe is badass and I love the whole cast but I do think that dialogues, quests and character interactions were more impactful in H1. The sequel however shines mechanically with more refined gameplay, more nuanced builds and more punishing bullet-helly fights.

The best character progression and skill trees I've seen in ARPG games. Countless class/skill/devotion combinations give unlimited build possibilities and replayability. Wanna mix a melee class with a mage? Check! Necromancer with grenades and explosions? Sure why not! Beast master augmented by Eldritch horrors? You've got it chief. Respec system makes it very easy to rebuild a character if it doesn't work for you.
And game just keeps being updated, true labor of love.

Not only incredible puzzle game with brain-melting levels but also fantastic, atmospheric, complete science-fiction experience with great arts, soundtrack, dialogues (monologues?) and one of the best, most iconic villians EVER.

One of the best atmospheric games ever made. If I could forget this game and had to explore it again from the beginning - I gladly would. Discovering the hidden plot, dark mysteries and best weapon/armor combinations is demanding but hugely rewarding experience.
