Outerwilds is a game that rewards curiosity.

In my 20 years of gaming, few games have impressed me as much as Outerwilds has. From its impeccable design, thought-provoking narrative, cosy atmosphere, and evocative soundtrack Outerwilds truly has it all.

What really blew me away about this game is just how intuitive and satisfying the mechanics are. From controlling your ship to disembarking and navigating the various hazards of the many planets in the game, everything just works so smoothly.

No game has ever made me feel so rewarded for exploring its rich world, and overcoming its challenging puzzles. This truly is a "♥♥♥♥ about and find out" game in the absolute best way possible.

The talented team at Mobius Digital have created something truly remarkable here and I honestly wouldn't be surprised to see this game studied in University Game Design courses as the pinnacle of intuitive and satisfying mechanics. An absolute masterclass.

And that's just the design. The narrative is wonderfully profound and thought-provoking, going so much deeper than I expected. The soundtrack is phenomenal, managing to be both soothing and tense at the perfect moments.

While the game can be challenging at times it is never frustrating. An extremely impressive balance that is notoriously hard to achieve.

I honestly can’t recommend this game enough, and I can’t thank Mobius Digital enough for creating such a masterpiece.

Few games can match the immersion that Metro: Last Light offers. I would especially recommend playing it in Ranger Hardcore mode as this gives you the full experience of the game. As you can probably see from the screenshots, this is an exceptionally beautiful game with amazing attention to detail. The story is very interesting (It's based on the book by Dmitry Glukhovsky) and carries on directly from Metro 2033 (Which I would also highly recommend playing). There are characters returning from Metro 2033 as well as some intriguing new ones who are well written and help to making the game that much more rich.

It is possible to play this game going in all guns blazing however this approach isn't encouraged, at least not on Ranger difficulties. A stealthy approach is much more effective and satisfying. There is even the option to take out enemies in a non-lethal fashion and as this game has a subtle karma system the non lethal approach may be more appealing. It all depends on how you want to play it. There are a few instances of horror in Metro: Last Light which are really well done and I would even go as far as to say they are on par with some of the scariest games out there. They may not last that long but they are a refreshing break from normal gameplay and help spice things up and keep you on your toes.

All in all, if you love realistic, post apocalyptic games with a hint of horror then this is for you.
