750 hours of playtime and so many expeditions later, the graphics are amazing and improved with water effects, variety of space station layout and improved fleet management systems. I can only say this, delete all your other space exploration games and give NMS your valuable time, its well worth it.
So with nearly 300 hours playtime, I can still recommend playing this over anything that's recently released (Starf--ld). The developers have redeemed themselves in creating a REAL open world, generated galaxy that changes with every landing. Space travel is not a chore as some say, its definately not a load screen simulator (Again Starf--ld) So forgot all the days of fighting multiple people who cheat, grab you survey goggles and head over to No Man's Sky for enjoyable, mining, running and feeding weird animals. Oh and if you've got a VR unit, try that out. You'll need a break after 20 mins though, unless you stomach is worse than mine. One last thing, the number of new additions the development team release, far out-ways any other commercially realised game ... and bug free. Live Long and Prosper

If you can be bothered with 3000 tasks and endless micro management, this game is for you. Unfortunately for $1.50 during the sale, it is not for me. Way too much click here, manage that, add that. I can recommend for the people who have 140 hours free a week.

Typical multi-player, run around, get shot, wait 10 secs, run around, get blown up by something you don't know that's there. wait 10 secs, run around ... you get the picture. boring.

So I played this for free during the 'Spring Clean' event and found it to be ever so close to a longtime favourite game of mine, Torchlight. Just about everything was similar. Run around, kill things, build up character, die... Buy new weapons, search building, kills more hoards, die .... I couldn't justify $36AUD on this game given I've got the two torchlight games. You may enjoy it but be prepared for alot of grinding and wandering the landscape.

3rd person old skool zombie shooter, with tower defense mechanism chucked in for good luck

old-skool top down shooter, run around, shoot zombies, pick up money, improve your weapons, then play game again on harder level, not much to it.

I first played this on the PS2 way back in 2005. It was entertaining and challenging even today on modern PCs.
Okay given that the graphics are very basic, its the story and gameplay that keeps you coming back for more.
There's alot of swearing and issue with some of the story, but look past this and the game will take you hours to complete.
Have clocked up 50+ hours and only completed it once. Too much fun driving the wrong way down streets.
So grab it when on special and enjoy.

Out of all the VR experiences I've had over the last 18 months with Vive, this is just showing what potential VR has to offer. Watch in awe. Utterly amazing

There is alot to like about the game but there's also a few ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Firstly the graphics are gorgeous, youll spend abit of time hitting the F12 key to take snapshots, but there's also a mode where you can just really go site seeing and snap to your hearts content. There's alot of thought that as gone into the detail of the landscape, the characters and backdrops. The ocassional duster (twister) or full on dust storm brings some impressive lightning effects. The game play can be sparce at times as there's abit of driving to do to get from safe house to safe house. There's also quite abit of grinding and searching involved to upgade your car, Max and the safehouse. No denying it, 50hrs spent playing has been worth it. Lots of achievements and plently to do. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥... too much of voice overs from your companion, he's constantly talking which can break the thrill of the moment. Also there's cut scenes where they are not needed, e.g putting fuel in car. why? Youll also get fed up with the voice talent, sure Max is voiced by an Australian, but there's plenty of other voiced actors that are not. Given the talent in Australia, this could and shouldve been a Australian cast game. But thats my rant.
Since I purchased the game, the price has come down, but still hold out for the summer/winter sales as quite often this can be picked up for $7US. Plenty of content to keep you going. Oh, I forgot, the racing element is supplemental, its just for you Flat Out fanatics... :)

Look I wish I could like this game, but I just cant be bothered with multiplayer games and pouring $$$ and hundreds of hours into a game without a purpose. Dont get me wrong, the graphics are simply amazing and with the VR VIVE its so much more stomach churning than other titles. Its just too much going go and too much time grinding/mining/trading without getting story points along the way... This will paint a target on my head, but this title has been so "No Man's Sky" ish after release, I just cant establish a bond with it. Had its been true to Elite from BBC/C64 days, it couldvve had a bigger audience, but for 20gb download and $30 US price tag, just doesnt cut it. I bought it from one of the game sites for $7, but still feel empty handed. The new player will be overwhelmed for 1st few hours, but then will find themselves loading up something else.
