Map design is miles ahead of mordhau with more player/environment interactivity and more believable detailed maps.
However i think Chivalry is like Call of Duty to Mordhau's Counterstrike in terms of the depth of the gameplay. Take what you will from that and dont get me wrong i love chivalry i think its overall more fun but it skill ceiling is much lower in this game.
Mordhau does beat it on the customization point, armour sets are locked in to "helmet" and "armour" so again lacking the depth that other game has over it.
Im not ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on either game and i love both of them.
Think of Monty pythons the holy grail if it was a game.
