Use to like this game... but now it does not work. Menus are frozen on contact, and when they eventually defrosts all you get is servers that never load :(

The menus for this game have been absolute trash since day one (as well as optimization in general), but the fact its devolved to the point that the game is now unplayable for me is shameful.

Shallow as a puddle yet they call it a sea?

A game with a lot of heart and soul. The gameplay is a fun twist on the usual xcom turn based strategy that gives you the ability to experiment with your turns and manipulate the battles to the point they become more of a puzzle solving challenge than combat. Really cool, and if you try for the challenges on the harder difficulties can be a real thinker!

This was not the game I was expecting when i started the download but i was pleased with what I got. I was expecting a turn based xcom style game that had me making my own squad of wizards to kill monsters or something (still kinda want that game lol), but what I got was a very story focused turn based puzzle solver.

I will say the world and story started very very very charming but did kind of walk a line of modern cliches and writing tropes after awhile and start to wear me down a little but the art style and gameplay got me through any moments of doubt. The story while it has its faults also tries really hard to parody military themes in the real world like the army, police, PMC lifestyle with fantastical magic and wizards and I found it all quite fun.

The art is simple yet effective, and I give the maps props for a good range of diversity (train levels cool as well as the final showdown on the mountain), also some really interesting backdrops that tie into the world building.

Tons of content here beyond the main story with loads of bonus levels, challenges, unlockables and more. Easily think its worth the purchase if you like puzzle solving games, xcom turn based strategy, indie games, or are just looking for a fun story.

Mint game, 10/10 buy it if you have friends. if not still fun but its best played with friends local split screen.

Main campaign was good, but I think this DLC is a step up. More weapons, enemies, a vehicle to play around with, and some hugeeee levels. worth the investment for fans of the base game and looking for more.

My only critique is some of the new weapons (especially the gun you rip off the hovercraft ) might be a little TOO STRONG. Some of the new bosses are totally trivialized (including the final fight) if you use them, and I was playing on the hardest available difficulty, kind of a minor issue, as the other side of this coin is the weapons feel so strong it gives you a fun little powertrip whenever you decide to go crazy.

just beat my first playthough. awesome retro style shooter, build engine to the core with modern graphics and larger level design. while it does fall short of some newer creations like brutal dooms (in terms of mechanics) its interactive world+level design is of such high quality it creates its own niche style of enjoyment to be found in this genre of game. totally worth the experience if you like classic shooters such as shadow warrior, duke, blood, doom, etc

uhhhh.... awesome???? ya! Ada is cool, fun story, action is upped right from the start.some new weapons and moves with the new character. Old boss fights remixed (the giant fight on the rooftop was great!!!!), new boss fights (a missing fight from the OG campaign is back in this one). All and all pretty great for 10$. I know most of us got it for free with the original game, but I had no problem paying a bit more for this, it is 100% a revamped experience from the original. The original always felt like a slight twist but watered down mini campaign of the main story. This is similar but you feel like their is more quality, from the new area in zones you get to checkout, to the redone story with nice cutscenes, and all the other stuff I already mentioned.
