The game in it's current state is.... not great. As many have already said, the UI is terrible. Why wouldn't you just re-use the UI from the first game. The biggest insult over everything IMO though is the fact that the game has SOO SOO FEW ride types. It's clear that Frontier wants players to re-buy all the DLC from the first game to re-add rides back. Really its a giant slap in the face as someone who has played the first one for over 100 hours. Really disappointing. I would have refunded this if it weren't for the 2 hour restriction steam has in place. I waiting for this game for years and it absolutely sucks to see it bomb so hard.

There seems to be a lot of review bombing by uninformed people. So lets clear the misinformation.
1) There is no micro transactions. Yes there is a store, but there is no way to purchase money for it. You have to earn it in game. Same with the season battlepass. It's free. You earn the rewards in game and there is no paid tier.
2) Currently its only 3v3 PVP, but the devs have already stated they will open it up to 6v6 with a future update.
3) It's a fun game and if you ever wanted to live out your quidditch dreams, now's your chance! Feels very rocket league in play style. Highly reccomended!

The game is fine-ish. The cosmetics are all earned in a stupid season pass so unless you pay up, there isn't much incentive to keep racing. Reminds me a lot of Halo infinite. With hardly anything to unlock I don't see myself playing long term.
