It's good. I'm writing this review with one of the shaders on. I can't see a thing!

They turned this game from a fun place to hang out with friends into AI Metaverse Drivel.

An incredibly solid game with a bunch of replay value. It's also really hard. Would recommend.

This may be the best game ever, actually. It made me laugh big and hard!

You play as a fat, middle-aged, alcoholic cop with amnesia. This game combines all the fun parts of being in your 40's, like paying off your debt, suffering from intense back pain, and solving a murder. The game has a really great dialogue, full voiced, funny, and skills affect it too! Explore all of Martinaise, it's really big and has NPCs and little interactions everywhere. Engage in politics, for some reason, I don't know. I was too busy trying to get on Kim's good side.

Pros:
* I really like Kim, he's one of two permanent party members. You will also like Kim.
* The Attributes system is really, really good. Your skills talk to you and it's cool, difficult to describe, but sooo cool.
* You can dress up your failure cop in all kinds of little outfits, its awesome.

Cons:
* You only debrief with Kim after the first day, would have loved to see one every day.
* Kim doesn't have enough dialogue, trying to talk to him at the end of the game will have options as if you'd just met.

It's a great game, easily worth the $40, but wait for it to go on sale anyway.

It's peak...

One of my favorite indie games ever.
We need more indie games where you play as silly little guys.

If you're trying to decide which RPG Maker to get, it's this one. It will always be this one.

Pros:
- Wildly easy to use.
- Fantastic animation system.
- Tons of community made plugins/scripts.
- Very lightweight, the biggest RPG Maker game I've ever seen was 200mb.
- Good tile set system, supports auto-tile *and* animated tiles.
- Moves, status effects, and Items work on enemies the same as party members.
- Has MP and TP with fully fledged options for both.
- Mod other RPG Maker games.

Cons:
- No widescreen without plugins
- Can't export to anything but Windows. (Understandable.)
- Some restrictions on how certain items/eqiupment work.
- Sometimes you might need basic scripts for simple things.

My recommendation is that you wait for a sale, most people don't buy it for $70 USD. Either way, this is a fantastic "game maker" for anyone who wants to make their first game or someone who really likes RPGs.
