The game itself is ok. It does feel like an asset flip of Persona 5 and kinda is, though the more you play there it plenty of new assets, animations, etc.

That's unfortunately the best compliment I feel I can give to this game.

I have friends that played this for all of 20 minutes before they said they were not going to continue to play because they are native JP speakers and wanted to play the game in JP text, but on the global release they can't. They live in the US, and won't play the JP version since they would need a JP bank account to do any gacha elements.

I am a native english speaker and didn't have the same issue they did so I decided to play, but I'm seeing the opposite issues now with the global release. The english subtitles seem serviceable, but beyond that there isn't any english audio option which I can get over, but recently they just announced a version update stream and it was a hot mess.

The version update stream announcement was posted on the same day as the version update stream. The version update stream was the JP version update video without any subtitles or anything....... not very useful for me who only speaks english.

Looking up details for the version update which I already found fast showed me that we are getting two brand new banners, one only lasting 2 weeks. Worse yet, the banner that is only 2 weeks long is for a character that other regions got for effectively free, but the global release won't.

Given the information we've seen in the past handful of days, it's pretty clear to me that they didn't really care about the global release or players and it was just a way to try to get extra revenue.

I'll be honest. I'll probably still play the game for the story, I've been having fun getting through the story, but I would find the game very hard to recommend, so I won't.

One of the few must haves for VR games, and I would place this as the best VR title currently available.

About 2 years ago my roommate suggested I should pick up this free to play game by the name of warframe. My initial response was, "Nah man, I don't really enjoy free to play games. All the micro transaction BS they pump into them drains the life out of these games. There isn't any real content to any of them."

After a few weeks of pestering me to give it a shot I begrudgingly downloaded the game so I could play a few sessions with him and when I didn't like it maybe he'd stop harping me about it.

When I first loaded up the game I was suprised by the graphics. They were better looking than the average F2P title, but I saw some signs that were definately F2P oriented. The first thing you unlock is the cash shop, and everything you make has a build time, some build times can be upwards of several days.

I had decided I'd give this game as much of a go as I could but that I wasn't going to spend any money on it.

With all that I've said above, one think I can express without fail is that I'm glad I gave this game a more than 2 hour shot at prooving itself.

The begining of this game is tedious and you feel very much like an ant compared to your enemies when you are supposed to be this awesome space ninja, but after you get some new items built and get some good mods on weapons. The game gets infinitely more enjoyable.

While there are options to buy so many things in the cash shop, you are able to obtain nearly everything in the game simply by playing it. The one exception to this rule is "Tennogen" skins for warframes and weapons. These are designs created by fans and can only be purchased through the steam store, but these are purely cosmetic.

The economy is well balanced, and you can even trade items within the game to other players for the real money currency "Platinum"

TL;DR The game has a really slow start, but if you are willing to invest a good chunk of time into a game this is a really solid choice.
