I got this from a Humble Bundle, and I always liked the games they selected for being included in a bundle. It's the first Medal of Honor I played, and I must say it has lessened my respect for all parties involved, including Humble for giving this more attention than it deserves.
This game doesn't have any redeeming qualities I could come up with. Gameplay is bad, execution is bad, pacing is bad, sound design is bad, everything else is bad. It's just junk, and it reminded me why I was reluctant to play war shooters in the first place. You can feel that they tried pretty hard to clone Call of Duty (I mean, just look at the title, duh). Even the description on Steam is involuntarily hilarious. "...a relatively unknown entity of handpicked warriors"? Who writes stuff like that with a straight face?
It's a persiflage of its own subject matter. The realistic enactment of war simply shouldn't be treated in a way like this, it's inadvertently offensive and cheap. Although I feel bad for giving a bad review for a game I paid almost zero $ for, I'm still desperate to warn everyone about giving this game a chance. If you have to, take Call of Duty on for another playthrough, it's still better after the third time than this is during any given 30 minutes of its awful campaign.
Please note that I never played any Medal of Honor multiplayer, it may well be its singular redeeming quality, since there must be a reason for it to exist at all. So there. Hope you didn't buy this at anything more than a dollar.
