A phenomenal game with an excellent sci-fi atmosphere, vibe, and plenty of challenge. Got the Platinum trophy on PS5 back when it launched and I'm impressed how well and fluid the PC adaptation feels with M/KB. The game was definitely designed with a game pad in mind, so if you have access to a Dualsense controller the aim-function for that enhances the natural rapid pace of the game.

As some people have mentioned you are pretty squishy in base-form, but that's sort of the nature of a bullet hell game - which this is *very* much a bullet hell game. Others have also complained about luck-based aspect of the game but it's a roguelike so what did you expect? The upgrades and items start simple but the more you fail the more you're rewarded, and the more learn to properly stack items. So while a lot of it is up to luck, there's plenty of ways to be adaptable with what the game gives you and completely over-level yourself. The first time I ever beat it my health bar ran across the entire screen; partly due to luck and partly due to patience. If you have a loose idea for what you want for a build you can usually spec towards that if you play smart.

Upgrades do come a little slow, and new items can only mostly be unlocked for a chance to find in a run at the beginning of each run - which depending on how good you are that could be an hour or two. Luckily there's a suspend feature to save your progress during said run. Outside of that it's extremely rewarding to do everything near-perfectly (especially in challenge rooms) because that allows you to stack on the upgrades faster and hit those overpowered moments. There's also a neat twist to the plot regarding the stages you play through and encourages you to play it over and over to explore areas and zones with newer abilities and situations.

Also, the Hollowseeker weapon is the GOAT, look for those in particular.

It's what everyone wanted Rainbow Six Siege to be. There's a few glitches and quality of life stuff I'd like to see handled, but overall it's fantastic with tons of potential. Make sure you press T to see your teammate's helmet cams.

I've been waiting for a while to finally play this and it is without a doubt one of the best looking, feeling, and playing games I've ever played. Everything feels weighted and like there's purpose, and the atmosphere and world building is astounding. I somehow missed every spoiler for almost the last four years for this game, and if you're like me and have never played it this is absolutely the definitive version of this game. 11/10 Boy's agree.

This has literately ruined other VR shooter games for me. 14/10 I wish all VR games had gravity gloves so I could easily pick up stuff I drop.

How well can you gaslight or suspect someone? 13/10 I'd be sus again.

A fantastic way to cause an IRL fight between four friends after someone disagreed in a group decision. Also a fantastic place to explode into fire and burn your party to death to end said fight. 12/10 - 40 hours in and only in Act 2.

It's MXC the game, but with adorable art direction and squishy beans. 14/10 - Extremely addicting.
