My most played Souls game as well as the first Souls game I was able to get into. Exploration of each zones environment almost always felt rewarding in some way: finding a new mini dungeon, new NPCs to interact with, or even just new weapons and spells. The combat was a hurdle for me at first but I believe that can be said for anyone on their first time around playing a souls game, but once I found a playstyle that was right for me the game really opened up.

Outside of the Division, I haven't played any extraction shooters so this was sort of my first foray into the genre. Pleasantly surprised at how well it ran, how few crashes I experienced, and overall just how polished the game felt on release. It does have some problems in my opinion, such as the passive talent tree could use an overhaul. There are many nodes that have very little impact per point to the degree they are barely noticeable, while others seem to function quite well leading me to wonder if some of them are just broken.

Outside of that, the PvP aspect is great. Most people in solo matches are casual, low combat, while in duos and trios fights between squads are very common. The ARC feel very fun to fight and evade, even though some can be frustrating at times. Most guns feel great to use, but a little tuning could help others such as the high tier weapons. Music and sounds are also fantastic.

Pretty good groundwork so far. Several familiar RS skills are in the game including the iconic Runecrafting. Skills have some perks while leveling up, and what seems to be a consistent passive bonus gained for each level earned where there is no major perk such as reduced stamina costs, chance to find extra things, etc.

I would maybe like to see food and water reworked, I'm still in the early stages but it feels like hunger/thirst drains pretty quick and it sort of feels more optimal just to use cooked berries and basic water than some of the more involved meals I have crafted that don't give some kind of bonus. Maybe some sort of "saturation" mechanic similar to what you would find in Minecraft.

Combat feels pretty nice, but I'm looking forward to seeing what the ranged and magic skills bring to the table, as it seems there isn't a level requirement for many weapons yet, and how skills like mining and woodcutting grant spells beneficial to themselves as opposed to being unlocked based on magic level, bones to peaches is unlocked via runecrafting for instance.

Very fun 2D scrolling game. I recommend this if you are looking for a decently paced adventure game. Variety of monsters, biomes, items. New content is added consistently.
