At this point, Scrap Mechanic is basically a joke. All that's been updated for the past ~6 months (maybe? haven't followed much because it got so bland) is the challenge mode that nobody even asked for. It seems like all the work is being put into bug fixing challenge mode or adding challenge levels, with not a single scrap of progress with survival. Literally the last survival-esque thing added was the spud gun, which was added months ago, and I had assumed with the coming of the spud gun, survival was coming along sometime soon. Don't buy it until the devs actually add survival, unless you only want it for creative.
