While early access this game is great. Cannot wait until they add more to the game overall.

It is stable, Haven't seen any glitches overall.

This is better than a AAA launch and it is only EARLY ACCESS.

*** Update at Bottom *** Here is an honest review from a guy that just plays games, not reviews them. DO NOT BUY THE GAME!!!! It was not ready to be released and it happened anyway. They should have delayed it.

I am honestly and completely disappointed. I heard that there was performance issues. I figured I could drop the settings to low and just keep rolling to play the game. Not even on low does the game become playable.

I know they are going to fix it, but unless you pre-purchased DO NOT GET THE GAME RIGHT NOW! Wait, save your money. If you do get the game, realize you are not playing the game and are waiting for the fixes to come out.

After hitting the information highway we call youtube, I watched some of the tweaks. To make the game playable, I had to make a lot of tweaks and literally disabling some of the options. I fixed my fences and buildings tweaking out and shimmering. Yet, now it looks even worse, but the game is playable.

My opinion is unchanged that the game graphics were functionally not ready for release. The core game though, isnt bad at all. There are some very new things to learn, which makes that fun. Like which things in the development tree to unlock first. Do I need thousands of parks? What about education facilities? Ho do I deal with traffic? On and on, which is what I wanted when I launched the game this morning. Yet, now it looks like dog poo... so an unpolished poo with a diamond hidden inside it is what we have for 90 bucks.

I do not review games often. Even when they are cruddy games.

Yet here I go.

This game is for an Early Access game that just came out fun and interesting to play.

If you like a city builder that is challenging. Here is one.

Sure there is a bunch of things that need balancing. Sure there are a few engine optimizations that need to happen. Sure, there are some additional aspects that need to be refined, tweaked, etc. It is an EA game, but what I have seen from the Dev Team so far has me intrigued. I feel with the time that I have already put into it, that it has been worth the 30 bucks. Now to see how the game grows and I think this might be one of the games that I come back to for years to come.

I am having an absolute blast playing this game.

The sounds of the battlefield are pretty awesome. When you hear your artillery unit load up and fire, then see the effects. You actually feel a little bit for those pixels of Rebs you just obliterated.

How you move your units is pretty awe inspiring also. You can just click on them and send them forward or you can actually have a detailed movement plan. All to flank the enemy and make them scurrying back to the plantations.

If you haven't guess, it is an enjoyable game no matter what side you play on. Yet, certain enjoyment about making sure the south does not rise ever is a thing.
