Initial impressions are extremely positive!

The physics and ffb combined with the laser scanned stages is a game changer. Driving feels feels very intuitive and natural and the highly detailed stages really keep you on your toes.

While I enjoy WRC and the dirt rally games, this feels far more realistic. Braking and weight transfer in particular feel far more realistic and remind me of RBR.

The detail and graphics also set a new standard in rally sims. Can't wait now for VR support and more content!

Storytelling at its finest. Fantastic graphics and atmosphere as well. The voice acting and score really support the mood.

Most metal game of all time \,,/ The gamplay, graphics, and music are just perfect for a modern Doom game. The screenshot mode is really entertaining as well and something I wish more developers included.

One of the best VR games I have played yet on the Rift! The VR support is done extremely well. The graphics, menu, and hud are all very well suited to VR. The game starts with a helpful tutorial and then throws you straight into the action. The game plays great with an Xbox one controller and the gameplay reminds me of an updated Tie-Fighter and Freespace game.

The sound design should also get a special mention. The muted sounds of combat and ambient radio chatter really add to the atmosphere. The graphics, music, and sound overall are fantastic and give the game a very distinct and unique look and feel.

The missions consist of a branching campaign which allows you some choice in which missions you play next. Each mission unlocks various new abilities and ship upgrades. You get to choose your difficulty before each mission as well. I'm playing on the hardest difficulty and it's been challenging but still a lot of fun. The missions are not super long so if you die it quickly restarts and sends you right back in.

Highly recommened for any space sim fans!

The most fun I've had racing since Richard Burns Rally. It's definitely a proper sim and huge improvement over the previous Dirt games. The physics, ffb, and wheel controller support are waay better. The game has steadily improved in early access and is a great example of early access done right. The devs have had a strong community presence and have implemented feedback while continuing to put out quality content on a very consistent basis. Console owners will be in for a treat if they decide to release the final version on the PS4 and xbone.

I'm very happy to see early VR support as well even though it's a rough implementation. If they continue to work on it the game should be amazing on the Oculus Rift consumer version.

Overall the best driving game codemasters has ever made.
