All Systems Red - Martha Wells (a short and sweet sci-fi novella about a murderbot and the humans it wants to protect. I love it.)
The Troop - Nick Cutter (Disgusting in a great way. Definitely look up content warnings for this one though.)
Bunny - Mona Awad (horror comedy, relatable to those who have tried too hard to fit in)
The Militia House - John Milas (House of Leaves meets the horrors of war.)
Ninth House - Leigh Bardugo (Dark academia + magic + horror = one of my favorite books of all time??)
Hide - Kiersten White (I've read this book six times. Horror story about being trapped in an abandoned theme park.)
Piranesi - Susanna Clarke (It's hard for me to define the genre beyond "magical realism". It's a bit cozy, a bit horrifying.)
Never Whistle at Night - multiple authors (really fun horror short story collection.)
Vermis - Plastiboo (If you like the vibes of Dark Souls, this art book tells a really incredible story!)
Entangled Life - Merlin Sheldrake (I don't typically read non-fiction. This book changed that for me.)
Dehiscent - Ashley Deng (Dystopian, eco sci-fi horror? Odd little book. Bittersweet.)
