I quite enjoyed playing this game over the last few days while I am off from work. It's very fun but also very challenging. The team-building is the games biggest strength but also I feel it can be its biggest flaw. Every monster has its chance to shine, but you really need to deep dive into it's skills and see how it pairs well with other monsters. You can cruise through the early game with whatever you want, but eventually you really need to start focusing on having a team that does something well together. If you don't like that, you won't like the game. It requires a lot of going back and forth between skill trees, the wiki, and youtube videos to see what builds work well together. There is so much information and it is very overwhelming. If you like that kind of game, you will enjoy Monster Sanctuary.

The soundtrack is very nice, especially the music in the Sun Palace. The world is very colorful and is nice to look at. The puzzles are a bit bland and can be a bit repetitive. You will spend A LOT of time backtracking as you gather more abilities to open up areas you previously could not. The platforming is simple, and the world is relatively easy to navigate after you get a monster you can ride on. It is not a revolutionary or anything, but as someone who does not like metroidvania style games, I found myself enjoying it.

Overall, I think its a good game but can be very off-putting if you don't want to spend the time trying to figure out what team comps work well. You can use pretty much any monster you would like, but it has to be put into a team that it can benefit and vice versa.

TL;DR Requires a lot of big brain and/or use of online guides to efficiently move through the mid to late game. Nice world and soundtrack with okay puzzles and a lot of backtracking.

Great little game, played the demo a bunch and had a great time. Totally worth the price.

Pros:
-Cartoon style is really cool
-Lots of customization for cars and a fair bit for your character
-Driving feels really good
-Story isn't completely terrible
-Cops actually feel somewhat threatening, at least before you get a good car
-Lots of free cars you can win to experiment with
-Somewhat large variety of cars
-Money gain becomes a lot easier by the time you reach the S rank
-Car spawned on a van and launched into the air, then respawned way in the sky unable to move(it was glorious)

Cons:
-Lack of varied races, you repeat the same ones over and over.
-No fast travel, and have to enter an event or go to safehouse to change a car
-Changing a car does not reduce your heat level, which makes no sense to me
-Some racers, especially in S/S+ are pretty overpowered if your car isn't that quick
-Cops after almost every race(although the underground pipe place gets rid of em quick)
-I didn't care about the car that gets stolen from you by the time I beat the game

Overall think it is good if you can get it on sale. Its a fun game if you enjoyed the other NFS games after 2015. Took me about 60 hours to 100% the story mode, haven't played multiplayer. Toyota please let these companies license the Supra again, I miss that car.

It's just kinda boring. It feels like there is something missing with this game. It doesn't weigh heavy into the farming aspect, nor does it go very deep into any kind of RPG mechanics. It feels unfinished, despite being a fully finished game. The dev team is small and there doesn't seem to be any plans for future updates. There isn't any leveling system outside of getting the materials from enemies for stronger gear. The farming is very barebones. If you want a farming game, play something like Stardew Valley. If you want an RPG game, theres much better titles out there. It also crashed my PC about 4 times in the time I played.

Definitely worth the wait. The maps are all very well designed with only a few minor bugs here and there. The new music is great and the overall aesthetic of the new maps is awesome. They definitely set themselves apart from the base game with a whole different design and flow. Final boss is epic. Definitely worth the price. Thank you Cyber Team for putting out such a great addition to an already amazing game. Looking forward to putting in many more hours grinding it out this season

Pros:
-Easy to understand and get into
-Competitive speedgame
-Visuals, amount of stats, in-game leaderboards
-Devs are pretty transparent with their intentions in the discord

Cons:
-Some levels are poorly designed, like forcing you to slow down to beat them(unless you are a god)
-No in game replays(yet)
-Lack of conclusive anticheat until the devs see fit

Game is overall pretty fun. Has a lot of replay ability if you are a speedrunner. I would recommend it as I know some of the cons are getting changed in the future. Join the discord!

Season 9 soon

Visually the game is amazing. One of the best in that aspect. The rest of it is well, lacking. The car itself feels great, movement is fluid and you feel fast. The insane amount of twists and turns on some levels can get a bit infuriating, as I got stuck on some quite a few times. I guess I should just git gud, but I'm too impatient for that. Times where you have to jump off walls and reattach at a different angle was pretty hard sometimes. I picked up the game with the intention of speedrunning it, but couldn't bring myself after playing through it all. The levels are a bit too long for my liking and there is some tech that I do not particularly enjoy. If you are looking for a racing game, just play trackmania. This is car meets platforming and I don't think it was executed all that well.

This game is great for a casual playthrough. Fun mechanics and level design. Flow feels really nice and the community is great. For speedrunning, though, my opinion changes. The lack of global leaderboards by default (can mess with game code to enable) is a huge turn-off personally. I also did not enjoy the insane amount of luck boosts required to get good times on most levels. Pogo was about the only thing I enjoyed speedrunning for the time I played. Still a good game though.
