Fun little mining and asteroid exploration game. I've come to think of each asteroid as a "round", so you can pick up and play a round quick or play for a few hours. Progress gets slower as you advance, but that's typical. Crossing my fingers for better Steam Deck compatibility in the future (sketchy right now)

Float, cut, aphysiate, accidentally fall in reactor, perfectly gut a ship, explode fuel supply.

At my currently rate of earnings, I will have my debt paid within 20 years. Real life, not game.

10/10 will use referral program to bring in friends and family (and maybe pay down debt)

Day 1 - Unsure what to do... build ladders and floors. Build a crapper and water well.

Day 3 - Food is running low; we're literally eating water plus dirt. Plus side, lots of coal. Minus side, things making coal are eating our food dirt.

Day 5 - We ate the dirt-eating coal-pooping things. Can't get to the waterr, CO2 is too thick. Going to try excavating to find more water. We picked up a helper.... still little food. Side note: Water and dirt causes rocket poop. Who knew.

Day 7 - We found water. We also found slime and flying fart cats. Everyone is also sick now, so we have that to work with too.

Day 8 - *Blergh* *cough* X . X

Fair Disclosure: I was a Kickstarter backer of this game.

Remember how games used to look before everything had to be rendered as players went through? No? That's okay, STASIS reminds you how deep and compelling they were. Dismissing this game for it's prerenders and/or it's static viewpoint is a huge mistake, especially if one is into a beautifully crafted story with generous helpings of lore and background to go around.

STASIS starts out much like any other sci-fi horror game: player wakes up in a scene somewhere between the cryogenic thaw scenes of Demolition Man and the gore-tastic parts of Event Horizon (one of which you should watch if you like sci-fi horror, the other if you're a fan of "did anyone read the script before argreeing to this" horror). From there the game follows some tropes (oh, all these logs mention not going to this place... guess where I'm headed) but manages to keep a steady pace to maintain interest. Some of the puzzles can be a bit of a pain to get through but luckily there are generous hints not only in the logs but 'on' them as well (when you see it for the first time you'll get it). Unfortunately, there are some typical "oh, those things have to be combined, strange" moments (let's face it, it's a staple of point-and-click adventure games) but aside from those and some story tropes the game is definately worth a few playthroughs (once to get to the end, once to find all the ways to die because achievements, and once to try to figure out what the heck happened at that part).

I hate sleeping. I blame this game but really the fault lies with myself. For starters, this is not a jump-scare game... it is not Five Night in Space Freddies or Dead Space, looking for the cheap scare you know is coming but still provides minutes of YouTube views. It is an atmospheric game that starts subtle; so much so that you will miss the ramp up your first play through. Do not be fooled by it's "simple" looking graphics or controls, this game is deep.

I walked in thinking this was going to be a spooky System Shock successor; "Oh look at me, all I have to do is fix this ship and fly it home." The robots provide a small challenge but they are not your enemy nor are they an obstacle; they are a distraction. Keep your sanity, keep your wits, get this ship going and go home.

The first time.

10/10 would recommend and play again... I know there is stuff I missed and it drives me crazy. Almost crazier than the game drove me to begin with.

Do you enjoy shooting things?
Do you enjoy "inside" jokes on popular memes/internet "events"?
Do you have an urge to collect shinies that go boom and bang then use said things on moving things that may or may not deserve it?
Do you have the urge to play as CL4P-TP?

If you answered yes to all four, you deserve to be commited. Seriously. Clap Trap? You've... you've met him, right? Everyone who has played Borderlands 1 or 2 has probably wasted a clip or two TRYING TO SHUT HIM UP! *ahem*

If you answered yes to the other three you should be playin Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. The game takes the formula from Borderlands 2, tweaks it just a little bit (oxygen management and low gravity shenanigans for starters), throws in some tried-and-true crowd pleasers (Handsome Jack, Moxxi, variable rarity guns with cool abilities, scavs), adds in an Aussie accent to most the NPCs and serves up a ton of fun... despite CL4P-TP!

Seriously, get this.

Only played this game for a quick hour, but already it's grown on me. The game has South Park Studios brand of not-quite-right and guilty-because-you-chuckled humor throughout it so far. The game is sprinkled with swag and gags for SP fans (from various outfits and memorabilia in characters' closets to collectible Chinpokemon). Gameplay has been pretty solid as well, with a classic turn-based combat system and pretty basic reaction controls to decrease/increase damage.

A word of warning: If you find any part of South Park offensive, you will want to steer clear. They do not pull any punches with this game; if anything they take the opportunity to push their humor to the very limit of what their fans will stand. You will definately have some laugh out loud moments... that you tuck away and hide that you laughed at.
